Shack Shine

I am so impressed with this company and the employees. I was a bit skeptical because service is a bit lacking these days in some companies.

Shaun and Kyle were professional, honest, and diligent. They were also extremely personable.

I don't see how anyone would go anywhere else. This company is just tops in my books. Now, if they only offered services like plumbing, landscaping, and taking care of the cat while we are away I would be the happiest camper in the world. LOL

Good luck to both Shaun and Kyle. I wish them and Shack Shine many years of success.

And would I use them again? You betcha.

Two Shack Shine guys came in January and cleaned my windows and gutters. They were really nice guys.

They cleaned the insides and outsides of the gutters. They were able to remove the black marks on the outside of the gutters.

I also got them to clean the metal railings around the house with their power washer.

Shack Shine is thorough. They scrubbed all the windows and skylights squeaky clean. And they really cleared the gutters: there was enough debris to fill our green bin up ~66%. We get gutter cleaning done every year. What this shows is that those who did the job in prior years weren't thorough. The gutters are so well cleared that we were able to hear the rain hitting them!

Was extremely pleased with the service from first contact till finish. The company was professional, on time and took great pride in their work. They did the exterior siding of our Strata which contains 22 townhomes. I would highly recommend them for any exterior job !!!!!

The Shack Shine van rolled up to my home within a few mins of my set appt time and I was greeted by 2 uniformed and super friendly "shack shiners". They introduced themselves and thanked me for choosing Shack Shine. They confirmed the requested work order and they had a look and let me know they'd take it from there. They got right to work and did an excellent job.

They exceeded my expectations in both their work and friendliness. And, they didn't try to push on selling me a bunch of other things. They actually recommended that I shift one of the services I ordered (roof cleaning) to something else as my roof is in great shape. So, I felt that they were there to best service my home's needs. I felt confident from their professionalism that they'd take care of my home and work with care. And they did. In the past, I had called a local person that did this on his own. He was about $100 cheaper, but the work wasn't done at the same quality level and he didn't have the same level of equipment. I wouldn't go back to that after my experience with Shack Shine.

Sick and tired of the un professional free lance workers, I hired the shack shine "professionals" to power wash a large patio at our rental property in downtown Vancouver. I called in, and found their booking service quite good - they even gave me a quote or the job right there. The only appointment available in the near future was 9:00AM the following day, and despite being severely inconvenient, I took it.

The next morning, with no "shiny van" in sight at 9:15, I called into the office to get an update. A few minutes of confusion and I was connected with Brad, the local franchise manager who told me the crew was running half an hour to forty five minutes behind and would come if I was willing to wait (thanks for the heads up guys). I waited.. an hour and a half (and over two hours late from the original time) for a single crew member to arrive who needed my help carrying his machine up the stairs.

Not 30 minutes into the job, he informs me that his machine has run out of gas and he needs to go get some. Another hour before he resumes work. Eventually, 3 hours past the original scheduled time, I left the crew member outside to finish his work and went off to finish mine.

Upon returning I found that he had left part of the deck unwashed and broken a large ornament in the process. I still give shack shine two stars (one for their online booking, and the second because the part of the deck they did wash looked pretty good), but I had an extremely un professional experience with shack shine, and management did nothing to try and make the situation right. Oh wait, they offered me $50 off the job for the (far more expensive) broken vase.

Great company! Did a thorough job of cleaning and tidied up after themselves. Very open to feedback and genuinely wanted to do the best job possible. Will not hesitate to use them again in the future. Punctual and reliable.

I was very happy with the job Slack Shine did. They cleaned my gutters and did lots of power washing of the exterior walls. I found this company through their flyers when they came around door to door.

I know the owner of Slack Shine so I got them to come clean the exterior of my building. They did the best job they could do which was okay.
