Full service......is what I wanted but got something different for a whopping 16k.....for 1 day move.
15 min drive to other home.
Came back looking for money for a tip as well.
Move on, would not recommend to anyone.
Left me frustrated and dissatisfied.
In the end still had to pack a Van full of my belongs that we're left behind.

I've used First Rate movers twice now and both times were excellent! The process was very clear start to finish, everyone was great and helped answer all of my questions pre move. The movers are so lovely, really kind, and care a lot about doing a good job. I really love that they take apart and put back together large items like bed frames and desks for you. They also were really accommodating when I needed two stops on my move. Both of my moves with them have gone perfectly, and I'll definitely be using them again in the future!

I recentrly moved out of a 2-storey home to a condo. I retained the services of First Rate Movers based on recommendations on neighbourhood groups and I was entirely satisfied. The crew were professional, hard working and very polite. Their work showed good coordination with everyone knowing what they had to do. There were no incidents or accidents. First Rate Movers are Rock Stars!!! The crew (Wes, Andrew, Jessie, Zack, Jake and Aaron) were professional, beyond efficient and extremely cohesive as a team. In under four hours, they loaded 25 years of our lives into two trucks, drove 93 kilometers and unloaded everything into our new home. They took extreme care to wrap every single piece of furniture with moving blankets and disassembled and re-assembled our gym equipment. Their teamwork is so well established that they hardly had to speak about what needed to be done, everyone just started working. They were also very pleasant to deal with and handled the move with humor and grace. I should also mention that Matt coordinated the details of the move with me and was informative and attentive. I knew exactly what was going to be required to do our move and how much is was going to cost. Thank you First Rate Movers for making our transition such a pleasant experience.

I needed to move four heavy pieces of furniture around my home, up and down flights of stairs. I contacted a few moving companies. Some did not even respond (I guess the job was too small) and others quoted what seemed like a ridiculous price. Matt at First Rate Movers answered my call, explained my options, and quoted a reasonable price. The movers he sent arrived on time, moved the items efficiently, and avoided all the walls even in the steep narrow stairwell from the basement to the main floor. If I ever need movers again, or know someone who does, First Rate Movers is getting the call.

Hired to help move large furniture items and was pleasantly surprised with how amazing and efficiently they worked. The two gentlemen that helped with my move were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be using their services for any future moves!
