We hired Mint Roofing to replace our roof, sliding patio door and fix our siding which was causing a window leak. Chris is an extremely likeable guy who walked us through the process and gave us confidence to move ahead with his company.

They actually did a great job on our roof. The installers were friendly, everything was tidy, and the finished product looks great. The tarps they put over the garden singed a lot of the plants, but perhaps that is unavoidable. Wish I had only hired them to do the roof.

Chris installed the sliding door himself. I came out to look at it when he was almost done and was disappointed to see the doors were almost 2” out of square when halfway opened. Chris became defensive and said all the corners of the door frame were square so there couldn’t be a problem. When I insisted there obviously was a problem, Chris blamed the design of the new door (which he recommended and supplied) then blamed my house for being built improperly. Seemed like he really wanted me to give in and just accept it, and became increasingly angry when I wouldn’t. I couldn’t...it looked awful. Eventually he removed and reinstalled the door. Door straight this time but it’s really difficult to lock it. Disappointing.

They ‘repaired’ our window leak the same day. Verbal and written agreement was to “inspect and repair siding” and “identify and address leak”. It came with a written one year guarantee. Next time it rained the window still leaked. I contacted Chris and he said he could come to try to fix it but would charge me to do so. I countered that he guaranteed he would fix it and chris replied that they fixed the area they were working on and the leak must be coming from somewhere else so it’s not covered by his guarantee. He didn’t even come back to look at their repair, so how could he know this? And the whole point of me hiring him to do this was to find and fix the leak. Obviously they did neither. Anyway, he’s sticking to his story, so it appears there’s nothing I can do but hire someone else to fix it properly.

There’s lots of good reviews for Mint Roofing. But I would suggest caution. In our experience, if there is a problem Mint Roofing does not stand behind their work.

Outstanding job. Havent done a roof in a while, so was somewhat apprehensive. Hired Mint Roofing on a referral. Top shelf!! Whole crew traveled quite a way and showed up on time including foreman. Very polite. 1100 sq ft bungalow and detached garage stripped and shingled in a day. Laid them straight as an arrow. They swept and magnetized (to ensure no old nails left behind) driveway, decks and yard.) Very impressed. Highly recommend.

I had 3 different contractors provide a quote for my roof replacement. I selected Mint Roofing primarily because of Chris' professionalism (my neighbor also commented on how he has never seen such a high level of professionalism from a roofing company). Chris' was thorough in walking me through the entire process and steps they take to protect your property. The crew that came on site was professional, respectful and approachable. I did call Chris for a couple of items and his crew was back in 2 days to make the corrections and ensure I was satisfied. Extremely pleased with the entire process from beginning to end.

We interviewed over 10 local companies about doing our roof. Mint Roofing Ltd. was, by far, the most accommodating and honest company. Not only did the owner of the company meet with us a number of times prior to us selecting his company for the job, he stopped by frequently once we did sign with him to check in on the job and our level of satisfaction. He willingly gave us a lot of his time to relay his extensive knowledge in the field onto us and answer our questions about the products he uses and the warantee. He was even very patient and helpful in helping us select the right colour for our home and we couldn't be happier with our choice. He provided us a quality job, using excellent quality products and surpassed our expectations, at a fair price. We felt 100% covered using Mint Roofing and would use them again in a heart beat.

They arrived in the morning and finished the job the next day with amazing quality! We're so happy with their service and professionalism. The work crew was great, they were all polite, and worked non-stop. We are very satisfied with the entire job. I can certainly recommend Mint roofing to everyone .

We contacted two roofing companies to quote on our roof. The first company did not even take the time to visit our home with samples and to discuss the project, they just sent a quote.

Krista at Mint Roofing Limited came to our house, measured, inspected the roof, discussed our options for shingles, showed us samples, showed us the underlayment as well as ice and water shield. She also informed us about how they would be changing venting and flashing with new correctly sized/type vents.

I told Krista that I had gotten one other quote and when she finished with our quote, I showed the other higher priced quote to her to be sure that I was comparing fairly. Krista's quote was lower for the same roofing work but her quote also included caulking some leaks in the eavestroughs.

We agreed right away to go with Mint Roofing because of the time that Krista took with us to explain what would be done and because, Mint Roofing was going to do a complete and thorough job, unlike many neighbors have had done. Price was not the deciding factor for us, we wanted our roof done properly.

When David and his crew came to replace the shingles, they were amazing also. They tarped all around the house to catch debris while removing all of the old shingles. They even put up boards to protect our doors and windows. They all wore safety harnesses which is a huge relief because we wanted a safe job site also. At the end of the first day, they cleaned up all the debris, swept up and even used a magnetic broom to make sure there were no nails around the property. At the end of the second day, when the job was completed, they cleaned up and even used a leaf blower to make sure any debris was removed. When David and his crew left our house, it looked as though nobody had even been there, only we now have a beautiful new roof.

Throughout the two days, David answered any questions we had and he pointed out differences in the way that our roofing was being installed versus other roofs in the area. We could clearly see the differences.

The GAF Timberline HD shingles used are beautiful. You can see the difference between our shingles and those of our neighbors. Ours look much thicker and there is a great deal more detail on the shingles. The Pewter colour is a perfect compliment to our home. Our roof was completely covered in underlayment with ice and water shield which most homes in our area do not have.

We have no doubt that these shingles will last for many decades to come.

We would not hesitate to use Mint Roofing for any future needs we have and we will highly recommend them to absolutely everyone.
