Here are the facts of what happened with Mr.Nice guy movers..
I called the company to book was told the deposit was 150 and to text the details to a phone number. I did that and then was told deposit was 210 to book which I paid and was told I had a pick up time between 3 and 5.
I called the next day and asked if there was anyway to have pick up at 4 due to schedule changes you told me no. I did not cancel or reschedule and was told I would recieved a call 30 minutes before pick up.
I received a text message saying 30 minutes at approximately 245 on Feb 9. Things changed and I asked if there was anyway to delay until 4pm. Driver texted back and said no.
I called the driver and explained my situation. I explained my situation of needing the fridge hoping from some compassion for the delay (45 minutes max) but was told it was not his problem but that it was mine and he had other deliveries. I asked if he could do another delivery and come back to mine he said no. Then he told me "I am going to call the office and tell them to refund you and that you cancelled". I replied no I am not cancelling I need this fridge I'll figure something out. He then told me that he couldn't do it because he would like to end his day and get home from work. He told me I needed to call the office. I replied stating I would call the office but I was not cancelling.
I immediately called the office after getting off the phone and left my home to meet him at the pick up location and messaged the home owner to make arrangements as your company could not accommodate a delay.
No one answered the phone at the office, I called over and over and left voice messages noting the urgency. I texted the number that had been contacting me as well and no one texted back.
I arranged for a family member to leave a commitment early so we could make it for the move.
I arrived and had access to the home ontime and the driver never showed up.
I continued to call the office and the driver several times over the next hour with no answer and no return call or text. I even messaged on Facebook with no answer.
I did not cancel my appointment and the mover never showed up.
I then went to the office and there was a worker there who had recieved my voicemails and messages but did not return them. (I was being ignored)
I asked for a refund he told me he cannot help me as it's non refundable. I explained that I put a deposit down for a service that I did not receive.
I have asked to return my calls several times but I only get a text back and have been completely ignored since Friday.
I showed up on time after receiving notice from the driver and waited fulfilling my portion of the contract however Mr.nice guy mover company did not show up and did not fulfill their portion of the contract. The website states if you choose to cancel the move date the deposit would be non refundable. I did not choose to cancel I was there at the home waiting and no mover showed up. I only had the option to deposit by etransfer as they wouldn't accept credit and therefore they are able to keep money without the customer being able to get it back when they don't show up.
Do not book with this company. My messages and calls continue to go unanswered.
