We discovered mould underneath the dining room window. The window was replaced 1 year before we moved in, but the damage from the leak was never dealt with properly, so mould developed in the area. As we pulled up baseboard, the mould was evident. We called Gabriel as he had generously given us advice on a previous mould remediation project in a bathroom. His is team treated the affected area and removed all the damage. The job was bigger than initially expected, but they did not charge us any extra. We discovered a significant amount of mold in our attic. We had quotes from a few different companies and Gabriel from Healthy Home really stood out. They completed the work today and they did an excellent job. Gabriel took the time to explain what he suspected caused the mold issue (even though I am going to fix this issue by myself). He also took the time to pause several times throughout the day to show me photos and videos of the work that they were doing. We uncovered moldy insulation in basement after investigating air quality issues and doing some air testing in key areas. Gabriel quickly came to set up air containment barriers and “negative air”, and did the insulation removal in phases starting with easily accessible areas in our workshop/furnace area. He then helped investigate other areas of the basement and we tested again before considering more removal to make sure it was needed. Gabriel was great about suggesting areas to test and not suggesting we do it all, need it or not. As we determined with investigation and more testing that we needed to do more, he was great about scheduling the work in as quickly as possible.
