John responded to a request for a quote for a cracked concrete pad at our home. As many other reviews state - John is very personable and easy to deal with. John provided his honest opinion and recommendation for the work. John said that he could do the work but the cost would be prohibitive at this time. He recommended that we wait and get the work done at a later time. Based on this assessment we are going to delay the work for a few more years. We appreciated his honesty and will contact him when we are ready to get the job done.

John provided a reasonable quote for the work we had in mind. He provided advice on a couple important details. A look at his website and reviews helped us decide that he would be a good choice for doing our job. John scheduled us in within a reasonable wait time. He and his team arrived on time and worked hard to finish the project but took their time needed to complete a high quality result.

John's team, With John's supervision, really did a nice job. We are very happy with the result and would recommend them for any project.

A great job, done on time and on budget. When completed everything was cleaned up and taken away, with no little "leftovers". The crew even helped transplant a flower bed that was in the way of the new patio that I had not had time to finish and those flowers are still blooming in their new home 4 years later. I was very happy with the stamped concrete and the exposed edge that John suggested as well, as I really had no good idea as to what would be best.
We really love the patio and are really enjoying it.

I noticed a house in my neighbourhood that had recently had a very nice looking walkway poured which continued around the front of the house to the backyard. This caught my eye as it was very nicely done with exposed aggregate. I made a point of talking to the home owner who was very happy with the work and the company who did it. After showing me the complete job he gave me a card for John at Burmar Concrete Design. When it was time for us to pursue a new walkway and patio area at our house I called John and had a pleasant conversation after which he came out and looked at our project. He was extremely courteous, professional and easy to deal with even as we added to our project.
We did contact a few other companies (a couple with huge numbers of reviews) and that was basically a wasted month to us waiting for someone to finally give a price (one never did) and others requesting I do all the measuring and pictures etc for them to give me their guesstimate several weeks later. Anyways enough about that rant.
Burmar was BY FAR the best and most pleasant to deal with. The work we had done took their crew a full week and they did not stop until it was complete, John and his partner Daniel were there from start to finish. They worked incredibly hard and were most respectful the entire time they were here. I am very pleased with the exposed aggregate job they did and would recommend them to anyone. What would sum it up best is a friend came over right after the job was finished and took one look and said "you defiantly used the right company"
