Home Wise Plumbing

Home Wise did major work on our old house, replacing ancient fixtures (faucets in both the bathroom and kitchen, bathroom vanity and toilet) as well as new hot and cold pipes throughout, resulting in vastly improved water pressure. Service was fast and efficient and their staff were a pleasure to work with.

I know enough not to try even simple plumbing jobs myself - and tried several companies to get a small tap repair cared for - but most weren't available for small jobs - but grateful that Home Wise came through - Matthew was friendly, efficient and fixed our problem quickly - gave me some pointers on a couple other plumbing matters and, as a local, even gave me a couple tips about fishing in the area. I will use them again.

Very dependable, knowledgeable, courteous and easy to work with staff who went above and beyond to satisfactorily complete the job. We had contacted a few other local & non-local hot water tank installers to get quotes for comparison, but they provided nothing other than broken promise install dates, no return phone calls and no interest.

Not only did HomeWise book us for the time and date that was convenient for us, they also followed up with a phone call to confirm. Tianna on the telephone was very knowledgeable and made helpful recommendations on which hot water tank was best with the best warranty.

Matthew, the plumber/installer, was very professional, efficient & easy to work with.

We hired Home Wise for an urgent repair, so our costs included materials, and an additional surcharge for out of zone support which we gladly accepted. We are on a Gulf Island so local specialists are often booked weeks in advance.

Our requests was urgent, so we knew we needed to work around schedules. The work was graciously, and thankfully scheduled for the next day.

All work was performed to a high standard of care. We would hire them again anytime.

I have used Homewise Plumbing twice now for perimeter drain work at two locations. Both plumbers, Matthew and Anthony, were knowledgeable, respectful of my property, and informative. All the way along explaining to me what was being done and why as well as making every effort to consider my budget. Both plugged drain systems were fixed and are now working perfectly. I will definitely be using Homewise plumbing in the future and highly recommend them!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company anytime. I had a septic back up in my house. They showed up the same day when they said they would, and while the plumber (Cam) was working away, he took the time to show and explain the issues and how to take preventative measures. The rate was also more than reasonable for the service.

Matt and Cam were at my home on July 19th to replace my hot water tank. There were two of them as it is located in the attic of my condo.

I wanted to say thank you to the whole Homewise Plumbing team. It was easy to book, I got a quote over the phone and payment was easy.

What I was most impressed with was the work ethic. They knocked on the door and Matt got right to work! He already had his ladder and hit the ground running and didn't stop. He was up in the attic the whole time (hours) working away and it must have been 40 degrees up there. I encouraged him to take breaks and he powdered through. I was exceptionally happy when they realized the new tank didn't fit in the attic hole and it only took them a few minutes to troubleshoot and get right to work removing the hatch. (It was a whole thing). They did it quickly and made it look easy.

While Matt was draining and disconnecting the tank Cam and I discussed installing an isolation valve. Cam was very patient with me explaining what needed to be done to do the job properly and in the end I didn't end up getting one installed as it was too much work for now.

Overall, thank you. I had been ripped off by the previous plumber and was ecstatic to experience the high level of communication and work ethic. And the best part was that the job was completed as per the quote.

If I ever need a plumber again, I now know who to call. :-)

I'm amazed by how quickly Dave and his crew responded to my plugged sewer line. Although another company had told me that I might need to have the section of pipe excavated and replaced, HomeWise was able to clear the mass of tangled roots from the line over the course of several hours. Replacement was going to be thousands of dollars! Also, the lady in the office, Tianna, is a pleasure to speak with and very helpful.
