AAMB Painting And Repairs

We hired Alex from AAMB to come in and finish a basement that was started by another contractor who had been unable to finish the work. I understand how hard it is to pick up a job someone else has begun, but Alex took it all in stride and worked very hard to help us finish our basement to a very high standard.

His work included: finishing a popcorn ceiling removal, installing some very tricky doors, installing a railing, painting an old brick fireplace, added crown moulding, installing duct covers, painting everything, and many random miscellaneous tasks.

We happily increased our scope of work during the basement reno because we trusted Alex. He's a hard worker and very professional. We're now planning to have him back to work on the main floor.

I can't recommend AAMB any higher – go hire Alex!

Basement bedroom with textured walls and lots of damage. We talked about drywalling the entire room, but Alex suggested plastering over the texture was another option. After much discussion, we went that route.
Alex gave a reasonable quote and completed the project on time and to perfection.
I didn't know that textured walls could be covered so perfectly that you would never know they were textured.

We hired Alex to remove popcorn ceiling in our home. He was very responsive, efficient and kind. He was able to come in short notice and completed the work in less than two days. It made such a difference to have a clean fresh ceiling. I would definitely hire Alex again and cannot recommend him enough!

Alex was quick to follow up, quick to get the job quoted & came in with excellent work, exceeded our expectations & on budget. Within a few days we got what we though might take a week or so at least to get done & Alex found & fixed many things we had not even noticed. Great eye to detail, took great care in our home. Barely could see he had even been here if the walls didn't look shiny & new. Would recommend to all & will be using again.

Hired Alex to repair drywall in my basement for our new laundry room which included drywalling our bulkhead and other works. They also patched an outside old laundry exhaust vent hole. They did the work fast, very clean and respectfully! Would hire them again.

They also followed good Covid protocol, very clean!

The cost included all materials which Alex discussed with us and purchased. There was nothing we had to do.

Throughout the process Alex was efficient and tidy. All the way along the project you could see his great workmanship.

Alex also worked some days with Nick who was also terrific.

The finished project is beautiful. We went from a pretty horrible basement to a lovely place.

With waterproofing done, we rebuilt the basement as far as we could go. Alex and Nick gave it a great finish. Even our “Swiss cheese” ceiling looked perfect at the end. Alex did what he promised and even went a bit further. He listened and was most respectful of us and our needs and it was done in the time promised. From our first meet I knew I was in good hands.
