Hooman, fixed our outside lights in our house and did a great job. Despite being busy, provided a very reasonable estimate and performed the work professionally. Will strongly recommend for any job.

While several others companies were slow to return my call or even show up for an assessment, this company had my problems fixed with in 18 hours of my first call. I now have a well lit and safely wired basement. Many thanks to Hooman!

Dealing with this company is great. I called 5 electricians that day and this company was the only one who offered to come and install the outlet for me... they made time to come within 24hrs between jobs. They went above and beyond and got the job done right. Installed a 240v outlet for my dryer.

I contacted Hooman as 1/2 my house didn't have electricity including my sump pump last night! I found him on HomeStars and based on his reviews I decided to call this morning- I am so happy that I did. He was fully booked but said that he would make time to come and help after he was done with another job as this was my basement in jeopardy. He came after a long day and stayed until the he fixed the immediate problem at hand. Root cause was that other electricians did some short cuts on my basement reno (even with the city inspection) and Hooman provided some great solutions at a minimal cost to assist in the future to avoid this issue. I would definitely recommend Hooman to any family, friends, neighbors and everyone else. He will be the first call for any electrical needs going forward.

I was looking for someone to do my outdoor potlights.
I called Hooman and he called me right away and showed up when he said to give me a quote.
I liked Hoomans personality and the fact that he was very knowledgeable about where the potlights should go. He knew exactly where they should go so it wouldnt look over crowded. I had a couple of potlights from the builder and Hooman carefully matched all the bulbs for me. Hooman and his crew very professional and potlight experts. They did a very clean job and my house looks amazing and stands out during the night.

Installed 50 pot lights, indoors/outdoors, replaced multiple light fixtures and washroom ventilation fans. Ali and Sian did a wonderful job providing suggestions (not upselling) at every stage keeping the cost in mind. Tremendous attention to details, did loads of extra work, cleaned up nicely. The whole process was very stress-free (with Hooman carefully explaining and reviewing the details of the work I planned). The crew was very professional, courteous, punctual and most importantly - flexible. I made some changes to the job by adding more potlights, team stayed late to complete the job. The crew overall were very attentive to detail and left the job site very clean. The final look of our home is significantly better than we envisioned and we are extremely satisfied customers! I will definitely recommend them to family and friends and can't think of anyone else to choose for future work! Now I know why their overall rating is 10/10 on Homestars.

I hired h man electric a few years ago and contacted them again a couple of months ago to added some potlights and an exterior outlet for my home. small project but was done very professionally. I recently referred them to a friend that needs her home removed from all knob and tube wiring and full rewiring.

Contacted Hooman through a referral friend and had h man electric team pass by to give me a quote and then we had them do the work within the week. Sconces and recessed lights. I will forward them to my friends and family without doubt.

Failure to provide service - pot light installation that already needs fixing but no one cares.

I am a home owner and work for the Government of Ontario.
Let's be clear, this is not about nitpicking about the small things, this is about a failure to delivery satisfactory service. I don't usually complain as it is not in our culture but this is an exception.

What happened:

- Installed pot lights (20).
The good: This was satisfactory as they did it within a day and didn't need to make any cuts in the drywall.
The bad: my hardwood flooring had indent marks because some of their supplies/equipment was directly on the my unprotected floor. Fine, I let them go on that one.

- Decided to make minor changes to some of the lighting because of the glare.
The good: They charged me only for the new equipment and not for the replacement pot lights.
The bad: they were 2 hours late and I had to take a day off eventually. They gave me $50 discount for my trouble. This time, they didn't even bother to cover anything underneath the affected pot lights with plastic. Underneath the pot lights was my bed which is annoying to clean the sheets, cover and pillow cases.

The big issue:
I have an on-going issue with one of the pot lights they installed that flickers randomly. I called and was asked to call back in 2 days to "remind him". Can't you even bother to write it down? Is it not important to you? I called that day but no reply. I texted him again on May 17th, 2019 and again reminded him that I still have a flickering problem and considering I have a new born baby, I need to make sure this is not a serious electrical issue with wiring. He texted back saying he would call me tomorrow an hour before he will come. To this day, I have not heard back from him. Today is May 30th.

As there is no real repercussion, the only way I can escalate this is to provide a review of this disappointing experience and provide a complaint to ESA and the Better Business Bureau about my experience if it is not resolved in a timely manner. I might even have to hire another electrician to double check their work. I have lost trust in them.
