This was a rather massive remodeling work I wanted to undertake and I did my due diligence of getting quotes from 5-6 different contractors. Even though I have received lower quotes from other contractors, Evans quote was competitive and I decided to go with him, I was originally quoted for a 8 weeks job to get a remodel done for Kitchen, Laundry room, breakfast room, powder room, master washroom and shared washroom.
They were able to start the work ahead of schedule and finished everything within 3 weeks! Jason & his dad Mr.Lin did an awesome job, they were trustworthy and respectful. My family is now adamant any future construction at our home should be done by Jason & Mr.Lin.
They work very long hours, at time till 11:30pm and yet come back at 9am next morning.
They not only did their part of the work, they made sure to go above and beyond to help me pick the materials and do the heavy lifting. Thank you Evan for running a trustworthy business and putting the customers first. In the day and age where you hear horror stories of construction gone wrong, I am glad and happy to have found a constructor that I can keep going to.

I was SO lucky to have had Jiangs Home Renovation help me with a whole house renovation. JHR came highly recommended by my cousin who is also my realtor, because of the overwhelmingly positive experience from several of her clients and colleagues - and now I understand why. A few months ago I bought a 76 year old house that I wasn't all that comfortable with due to its age. The floors were creaking and I didn't love the decor. But now, all that is in the past.

First, Evan came to assess the house during one of the visits we had before closing. He quoted me a fair price and advised me of what needed to get done and what didn't. The team was super efficient - they started work on the house the day after it closed. Evan advised me of potential vendors to get materials from, and guided me each step of the way. The team even bought and picked up the materials if I didn't have time. They were always considerate of my preferences and accommodated my various constraints (time/cost etc).

Through the renovation process, this old house threw us a few curve balls, but the team really went above and beyond and took care of everything. First, it was discovered that the walls had no studs, and they took the time to fix that. They inspected the house carefully and advised me of what other professionals I needed to bring in for other things, for example, to fix the hole in the roof (I was not even advised of this during the house inspection but these guys found it). They saw what was old and potentially problematic with the house, and fixed it /advised me of it. They were always willing to lend a hand, these are good people, for example, they took down a few tree branches that were causing me grief and didn't want anything for it. The house also came with some oddities like irregular closet space and a small attic opening, but the team was able to come up with brilliant solutions and made everything look really nice. But the crowning jewel here I think was the pipes.

I had a sewage backup problem in the basement - which was incredibly distressing for me. I immediately asked the plumbers to come fix it, and after $1500 I thought they did - until it recurred one week later. It was apparently a confusing problem even for the plumbers, and they were not coming up with a sensible explanation. Evan and his team came and diagnosed the problem right away - I was so impressed - and immediately did (literally) groundbreaking work to fix it. They replaced all the old clay pipes with new pipes under the house within 2-3 days. I know that was A LOT of hard work changing those pipes under the ground, but the team worked tirelessly long hours to fix it. That really helped a lot with the stress and I've not had any problems since.

There are other examples but you get the idea. Looking back I was a difficult person to work with, as I was often not able to spend time and when I could, I was always slow at making decisions, couldn't pick out the lights/tub/sink I wanted etc. But the team never complained or gave me problems, and always worked with me. Their work is high quality and they stand by their work. These are people you can trust with your house, and I would recommend them to anyone. I have already had them complete another job for my family. I've worked with a number of contractors in the past, and no one had work ethics or craftsmanship like JHR. These are the people you want to work with. Thank you so much for turning this old house into a wonderful sanctuary. I've loved every house I've ever had (all of them larger and newer), but I have never been this comfortable.

To say that we are satisfied with the projects is an understatement. The results of our their work are beyond our expectation. Service, craftsmanship and technical recommendations are of course professional. The thing is that even when we changed our minds again and again, the team and management remained patient and accommodative. This is important as now we know how difficult it is to match colours and material in selecting the various components of our needs. Indeed, we have no reservation to recommend Jings Home Renovation Inc for your next renovation project. In the end, we are happy to spend our budgeted money for what we finally see before our eyes.

Evan and his team are consummate professionals. They deliver what is promised on time and on budget.
We had quite specific ideas about what we wanted but no idea on how to deal with material vendors, supplies etc. Evan kindly walked us through the process start to finish, from suggesting suppliers and services as well as solid recommendations to streamline our decision making to ensure we got the best product for our money. A bit of upfront legwork needed to find the best materials and a lot of trips to Kennedy road but relative smooth sailing thereafter.
We did the following:
- Replaced floor
- Removed popcorn ceiling
- guest bathroom full update
- master bathroom partial renovation (tiles and shower fixtures)
- full kitchen Reno
- changed all lights and switches
- painting entire condo

Pricing was transparent and fair. No surprise costs or hidden charges. The project manager (Daniel) ensured excellent communication to make sure there were no misunderstandings and any potential issues e.g. placement of bathroom hardware, lighting etc. were sorted out quickly to everyones satisfaction.

TL;DR - they are quick, efficient, and professional. No need to think twice. This is the team you want.

Evans team - Jason & Mr Lin did our basement and we are very pleased with the outcome, the whole process since the day Evan came to give us a quote to the completion of the project went very smoothly.

Jason & Mr Lin are very meticulous and hard working, ensured that our expectations were met. They would provide suggestions along the way but remained open to our ideas and needs as well.

The basics like drywalls were included in the quote but then we had to purchase the other materials like tiles, floorings, vanity etc. Evan provided us with a list of suppliers where to get the necessary materials and that was very helpful.

At the end of each day, they would take away all the garbage and we didnt have to worry about that.

This was the second time we hired Evan and his team to work on our semi-detached Toronto home. He and his team gutted our main and second floor to give us a new modern home including a custom staircase/banister, new flooring, re-configuring a wall going into the kitchen, drywall, vaulting our primary bedroom ceiling, gutting and preparing our kitchen for installation of a new kitchen, lights installation, paint and few other misc. jobs.
