I had ask Dave to repair a section of wall because all the plaster was coming off. He did a great job. The price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Dave.

I needed to put up a 2nd layer of drywall on the ceiling at a rental property of mine.
I hired Dave to complete the job as his price was reasonable and he was prompt to reply and showed up to the quotation meeting on time.

I was completely satisfied with the quality of workmanship and the job was completed on time. Dave was easy to work with throughout the process and at the end ensured everything was done to his high level of standard.

He even let me borrow one of his painting poles as I had broken mine and I needed to get paint on the walls ASAP which was very much appreciated.

I had a hole in my plaster ceiling and he was able to mud the area and make it look like nothing every happened.

He left the place so clean as well. He works with a sanding vacuum, so there was virtually no dust. I highly recommend him and will most certainly call him back in the future.

We reached Dave on the homestars page, He came by a couple of nights later to have a look at what was involved and talk about our options. We needed 2 rooms gutted , insulated , drywalled and mudded . Straight off the cuff he knew what was best for us to do and whilst keeping the job in budget .
He started 2 weeks later and had the job done within a week . He stripped the ceilings and walls, insulated our exterior walls and got it boarded , mudded , sanded and painted in no time .
Him and his crew left the workplace clean each day and on the final day they cleaned vigorously.

We did a ton of electrical work removing knob and tube and afterwards I reached out to a few contractors on HomeStars. We ended up going with Davey Drywall, 416.356.7719. It took a full week but all 72 holes were repaired, he replaced a bathroom ceiling and even fully drywalled my 60 sq.ft. storage room. His pricing was very reasonable and they did a good job cleaning up each night. They also primed over each of the holes once they were smooth. I highly recommend Davey and would use him again.

Dave was easy to deal with, the price was very competitive and the quality of the work superb. I am so relived that the work is done. I now have excuse to not invite people over !

Just a couple of weeks before Christmas in my son's room, the lathe and plaster ceiling decided it was letting gravity win, and started to fail. In multiple spots the ceiling started to give way. We recently had to replace the roof and the ceilings didn't like the banging.
It is 93 year old house, same age as the Toronto Maple Leafs and like the Leafs, this house needs a lot of work.
Not knowing anything about ceilings, I figured they basically have one job and this ceiling was not performing too well. I started to ask family, friends, and neighbours about their ceilings, and I researched whether I should repair the plaster, or have someone drywall the ceiling.
A friend of our family just had plaster ceiling work completed in the west end of the city and was pleased with the job, and recommended his contractor. I thought the plaster repair might be and option but I also wondered about drywall, and figured I better get more than one quote and opinion.
On Homestars I found Davey Drywall. His reviews made me want to call him. I sent a message and Davey responded quickly. We set up an appointment for the following week.
Davey came in, examined the ceiling and explained what was happening and suggested the option to we remove the ceiling and start fresh with new drywall. I must say I got a very good feeling meeting Dave, and just I could just tell he knew what he was doing in this trade.
After considering our options we went with Davey Drywall and I am happy we did.
Dave and his employee put in the time, starting the task when they said they were going to and finishing when they said they were going to.
Excellent work Dave. And superior clean up - we were able to paint and redecorate the room in no time.
