My Home Handyman

We had a shower re-grouted. The fellow that came to do this for us was very personable and knowledgeable with respect to techniques, products, etc.. Our understanding was that the return visit was basically to help get the glass panel back in place and do some siliconing. He had expected to complete the job in one day but it appeared that the old grout removal took a fair bit longer than he expected. This made for a very long day, as he then started applying the new grout late in the afternoon. He returned with the required silicon and more grout that we had requested for touch ups, and helped us with the glass panel. We chose to do the finishing ourselves as we had already done 3 hours of scraping and cleaning as we were not happy with the appearance of the grouting. It was uneven and a lot of haze or grout was left on the surface of the tile. The corners were nowhere near square and some spots had no grout at all. We’re quite particular about the look of the finished product. We knew we could complete the job to our satisfaction, and weren’t sure how it would end up otherwise based on what we had already seen and done to clean it up.
Essentially we were reluctant to let him finish because of the quality of the finish.

Very good work. Arrived on time, wore a mask throughout, removed shoes 7 -8 times, although was told not to bother. Expected 30 - 40 minutes duration, took a full hour to complete, working diligently. Had his own vacuum, to clean up small amount of plaster dust afterwards. A simple project, am quite satisfied with the caliber of work, expect it to serve us well for many years to come, without any problems.

Quote was more than 50% above expectations, but was accepted due to time constraints. A $250.00 labor charge for one hour of carpentry work is excessive, in my mind.

Had my credit card available in my pocket, to settle up. Was surprised when Robin gathered his tools, bid good day, and departed. An invoice was received by e mail shortly thereafter, with a reminder about one half hour later payment was due that same day. Account could have been settled then and there, while still on the premises.

I had some minor repair jobs that needed to get done. Pat did excellent work fixed a broken tile, toilet and some replaced some baseboards and light fixtures. Highly recommend.

Jordan was professional, on time and extremely knowledgeable A pleasure to have in our home. I would recommend him to anyone needing odd jobs done in their home. Thanks for getting my place looking great again.

I had a broken door jam on my backdoor. Not sure who to call to help with this when I found My Home Handyman website. They were so great to deal with, booking and invoicing. I love that they have all the proper insurance and WCB looked after. My handyman came by and fixed my problem in a few hours. I would use them in the future for any jobs needed around the house. Great experience.

Jordan was excellent in every way possible with this job. He was flexible, extremely courteous and did a fantastic job. He also went out of his way to explain everything to me, and answered every question I have. Would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of the same repair work.

My Home Handyman has finished 3 different jobs for me, and I have been highly satisfied with the work. Jordan has cleaned and painted an outside wall, repaired a leaky eave, and got rid of mould around 2 windows. Jordan is prompt, efficient, and lets you know the different options for repair work. I really appreciate his attention to detail and that he doesn't try to push costly upgrades. I have a long list of things to fix in my house, so I'm so happy that I found this handyman service!

My Home Handyman stayed with me throughout this months-long project, which was delayed due to the discovery of other issues in my basement. Because of that, there were actually 3 different people working on it, and I can recommend all of them, most particularly Jordan. In the office, Erin at MHH was very responsive and accommodating, and I will most definitely be going back to MHH for any future jobs.

We have a very high stairwell that became a safety concern when one of our cats fell 10ft down. Our Handyman Ken installed a shelf to cover the deepest trench (haha) and now everyone is safe. It was quick and easy and Ken was very friendly :)
