MJL Construction started as a side hustle back in 2017 while our founder worked in high-end deck construction. After rapidly gaining traction, we eventually transitioned to a full-time operation in 2019, specializing in enhancing outdoor spaces with small decks, fences, pergolas and more. Our breakthrough came with a timber-framed porch project in Burlington, where we really showcased our carpentry and construction skills. Since then, MJL Construction has expanded into major renovations, new constructions, and outdoor living spaces. Our journey into helical pile technology marked a significant leap, enhancing our efficiency and broadening our service scope. We now serve as dedicated general contractors, offering comprehensive solutions from design to execution. Wood deck and stairs down to lake.

Very steep, rocky difficult terrain to install over 80’ of stairs. Michael and his crew did an excellent job, working in tough conditions. The results were outstanding, completed on time and exactly to budget. Would highly recommend this company.

We had an upper deck that came with the house and wanted an attached
lower deck to finish it off and add more space. Mike did a fantastic job of matching and adding a beautiful railing, steps, and even a storage box/bench. We are very pleased with his work.
