WOW! How lucky we were to connect with SMC Masonry. Our project was on a time crunch and Stephen and his crew swooped in and literally saved the day. At the time we did not know that Stephen was a Gold Seal Mason; but so happy to learn he was. Our project ran into some hurdles but that did not stop Stephen and his crew from from more than fulfilling our vision. Stephen and his crew were so easy to work with; very knowledgeable and approachable. Even though this was a very small project in the grand scheme of things by the end Stephen and his crew were like family. We would recommend SMC Masonry to anyone and everyone. The level of work exceeded our expectations! Thank you so much SMC Masonry for adding to our home and becoming part of our story.

Stephen and his crew were wonderful. He listened carefully to what we wanted and made suggestions where his expertise was needed. Stephen was gracious and kind, as were his crew, to take on a labour intensive job of redoing our flagstone walkway during a rushed race before winter set in. They took their time and did the job as it should be done without missing the crucial steps but maintained the time frame they told us it would take them, even if it meant staying late and returning on the weekend to do the final touches. We were lucky to have found them on Homestars and would definitely recommend them!

My stone walkway needed repair, and Steve was recently recommended to me by a friend. Once I contacted him, he came around to see it and the job was done within a short time frame. Even though it was a small job, he found time to fit it in. His pricing was reasonable, and he with his assistant did a great job. I would definitely recommend Steve and SMC Masonry.

I don't think anyone wants to do a chimney restoration, but when it comes to preserving your house's value and keeping water out of your roof, it becomes a necessity. SMC Masonry impressed me for a couple main reasons. 1) Their work is overseen by a Gold Seal Mason and our crew was led by a Red Seal Mason. 2) Stephen took the time to visit the site before providing the quote, and he provided a thorough explanation of the options and what the job entailed each time we communicated. I am by no means a masonry expert, so I appreciated that he was willing to take the time to educate me in a respectful manner.

The quote (amount shown included tax) was in the mid-range of what I received on Home Stars, and later research suggested that it was right in line with industry standards. The work was completed as described and within the promised time frame despite some rain delays. They were also flexible about receiving payments when I exceeded my bank's 24 hour e-transfer limit.

The job site was cleaned up well overall, but I had to wash our recently painted deck afterward. I would suggest to anyone having similar work performed to do the following. 1) Tarp your deck if you have one. 2) Move or cover any plants near the house (particularly fruits and vegetables). 3) Shut off your air conditioner for the day and put your A/C cover on it. Tuck pointing done on 100 year old house, as well as some parging work. Work and cleanup was done within a day. Stephen and his team were very responsive and easy to work with and provided some helpful tips!

They tore down part of my chimney and rebuilt it, they were very professional and cleaned up everything and did an amazing job, very respectful workers, couldnt ask for a better company to take care of my property repairs, I recommend them to everyone I know that needs repairs!!!

SMC masonry went above and beyond my expectations. They were prompt, experienced and compassionate about there workmanship. i hired them to change some window sills and was very pleased from start to finish. they also completed some other repairs they noticed that was not in the quote. They have great pride in there workmanship. I will not hesitate to use them again or to refer to family and friends.

I hired Stephen and his team to do some brick work on my home. The response from their team was above and beyond (located bricks that where no longer being made & found the perfect match). Stephen and his teams knowledge and expertise stood out far greater than any other quotes I explored. As a result, I was extremely pleased with the work they completed along with an additional repair they noticed and also completed as well.

Very professional and clean. Did a beautiful job on three different chimneys, and we are very satisfied with the work done.
