Alivio Solution Downsizing

Alivio Solutions was incredibly helpful with my Dad's move to an assisted living facility. They moved all of his items with care and assisted in getting his room set up, including reassembling his bed and his dresser. They were flexible on the time for the move and they connected with the home to ensure that the timing would work.

Once my Dad was settled into the assisted living facility my focus shifted to downsizing his home for sale. I was completely overwhelmed with the volume of items and the physical task of emptying the house. Alivio, and Rita herself, took over the process and alleviated my stress. They organized all of his belongings for donation, disposal and sale. They prepared and executed an online auction that brought in significant funds to assist with the costs of moving and downsizing.

Alivio was exactly what our family needed in a very stressful time. We hired them to downsize our grandfather's home after he had to move into assisted living unexpectedly. Because we all live out of town/province, it was virtually impossible to all of it ourselves, nor did we want to. They took care of EVERYTHING! I really can't say enough about what a positive experience working with Alivio Solutions was for me. I was so overwhelmed - I'd been trying to clear out the home of an elderly parent for almost 2 months and was making minimal progress, with maximum exhaustion. I already had limited capacity and I found myself agonizing over even the smallest decisions (what to keep, how to dispose of something, etc.). I knew I was struggling, but little did I know I'd find my salvation in a timely recommendation for Alivio in a local community Facebook group. I got a quote and when it came in it was like a huge weight had been lifted. They showed up when they said they would every time, they tailored the services to what we needed, they didn't try to add on or upsell, they were totally transparent and they got the job done - quickly and efficiently. Having Alivio step in and just handle everything (including me haha) was such a huge relief. They saved me - or at least what was left of my sanity. Perhaps the most amazing thing was that because we elected to hold an auction for items we didn't need to keep, in the end the proceeds from those sales MORE than covered the cost of the service and we ended with a few extra funds to support my parent's care.
