Bernie, Steve, Adrian & Alex are all "old school tradesmen". They don't want to rush through a job, they want to do it good. They still got our job done in our timeframe and even did a few extras that we added after we hired them. The precision in which the guys measured and cut everything was second to none. We are getting compliments from everyone who comes over. We're sure happy with the cost too! Great work boys!

I hired OVMF to refinish 60 year old hardwood floors in several rooms at my rural cottage, which is a little out of the way in terms of location. Bernie, Steve and crew did a great job. They showed up on time, worked hard and completed the job on budget and on schedule. There were some challenges with the floors that they met head on and worked through without complaint, which I really appreciated. The team was really pleasant to work with and very respectful. We needed 60 year old floors refinished quickly. Bernie committed to fitting us in between Christmas and New Years. He and his crew delivered as promised and the result was better than expected. The quality of their work and effort to finish in a timely manner allowed us to keep our renovation on track.

Bernie and his crew did a thorough and high quality job on installing hardwood on my second floor and stairs. His company is more concerned with doing the job right rather than quickly doing the job and moving on to the next project.

When the house next door took over three week to have their hardwood installed we asked if we could have our own installer.
We met Bernie at the Pakenham Home Show and called him. He had 1500 sq. ft. of hardwood installed in 3 days and the tile was finished in a week . Bernie and his crew made it possible to get into our new home before Christmas.

VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER! OVMF supplied and installed Sahara maple hardwood on the entire upper floor of my 3+ bedroom home, as well as the staircase to the upstairs. They also installed shoe molding and hardwood flush-mount vents in the bedrooms. Bernie, Steve, Shane and Alex arrived when they said they would and were very accommodating with my schedule. My house is 112 years old and the floors which they found under the carpet (vinyl tiles on top of wood flooring) were challenging to say the least. I am very happy with the quality of the wood and its installation and the innovation the team displayed once the original floors were exposed. Working at home, I was often entertained by Bernie, Steve, Alex and Shane, what a great team! I have had previous home/floors replaced and I can say without hesitation that OVMF are the best I have hired. Their attention to detail, problem resolution and courteous customer service have set the bar high for any future company working in my home. I would also like to add that the clean-up they provided as they worked every day left minimal dust or disruption to my living accommodations during the renovation. On completion, I had nothing to do other than damp mop my new, beautiful stairs and floors. OVMF supplied and installed red oak hardwood on two floors of our home, as well as two sets of staircases. They also installed baseboards, shoe molding and flush-mount vents throughout the house.

Due to OMVF's busy workload, the work was carried out over the course of 6 weeks and was, in fact, completed ahead of schedule. Bernie, Steve and their crew always arrived when they said they would and were very accommodating fitting us in around other jobs.

The flooring laid in the den was installed over concrete sub floor, which required a lot of glue and specific expertise. Some other companies we spoke with did not have the skills to do this work. Bernie and his team did.

Some service people who have been through our house completing reno work have commented on the quality of their craftmanship, particularly with the installation of the baseboards and stairs.

My husband and I are very happy with the quality of the wood and its installation. It matches the hardwood that was already installed on the main floor very well. Further, with some difficulty, Bernie was able to find baseboard to match the existing baseboard on our main floor making the transition from old to new flooring seamless.

I work from home often and was frequently entertained by Bernie, Steve, Alex and Shane! Thanks for the laughs!

We have other work that will need to be completed at our home over the next year and intend to work with OVMF again.

Bernie, Steve, Alex and Shane are a team. They totally transformed the hardwood floors in the living room, dinning room, hall and three bedrooms in my 60+ year old home. They are efficient, skilled, very professional craftsmen and gentlemen to boot. Bernie and Steve responded positively and quickly to my questions and concerns. I would certainly hire them again! After hiring the wrong guy for a service I called Bernie&Steve to get the job done the way I want it. And they did! The tiles are perfectly aligned and everybody that comes to my house ALWAYS tell me that that was a great job done. People talk about tiles? Well, not often but maybe because they don't see perfectly engineered floors like mine all the time.
These are the best guys out there. It is not surprise that they get great rates on Homestars. If you want tiles laid to perfection and nice, decente and honest people working in your project do not go anywhere else, call them.
