Multicity Moving No Longer In Business

MultiCity was a very well organized moving service. I found that the communication was very good and the service and efficiency from the estimate, to the pick up and the coordination was exceptional. All my household good arrived in good shape for one of the best and stress free moves ever. The price was outstanding too!

I booked the shipment and paid $200 deposit with a verbal contract that the shipment will be delivered in 10 days. The shipment was picked up on March 21 and its April 9 today and I have not received my shipment. They did not even send me the invoice or total weight they picked up. They also have the habit to increase the weight to get more money. No one answers my questions, at one time one person is away and the other is in meeting and the third person is sick and the warehouse manager will call. You never receive a call. My questions is: we are complaining about this company. Is there any legal action that can be taken against these bast......? Has someone ever taken any action? Maybe not, that is why this fraudulent company is still operating. Get out and at least write a complaint to any concerned authority or write directly to Ministry of Transport. File a claim in small claims court and do something, Just writing a review does not resolve any matter. Is there anyone who can stand along with me to file claim against them in a court?

I am not one to complain, but I feel it's my duty to warn people that this company is not a real moving company and not worth your time. Luckily, I got out with only paying the deposit, but I've heard of many other people who lost property, damaged property, changing prices and general dishonest and shady behaviour.
I booked a move with them, payed the deposit, and when the moving day came I waited and waited - for 3 days! No one ever showed up, no one called or emailed at all. Even still, I have heard nothing from them, and I can only assume that they just wanted my deposit and couldn't care less about customers.
Do yourself a favour and stay far far away from Multicity!

The long in the short is: Be smart and do not go with this company.

As you are doing, I researched all different moving companies. I thought o.k. Multicity has an overall 7.1 stars therefore they must at least be somewhat professional. I chose to ignore the slew of "0" ratings and went forward with their services.

As soon as, they rope you in as a customer you then realize you will not receive any proper updates or customer service again. Yet they have all your stuff. Ultimately, this led to my worst experience with a company. My shipment arrived a month late, without my mattress and comforter. No one, was ever able to give me a straight answer about my missing items and finally I decided I would prefer buy myself a new mattress instead of wait and struggle with them for one more moment.

Want to save yourself a headache. Do not use this company. Pay a bit more and get a proper service!

Stay awayyyyyyyy !!!!!! Absolutely the worst ppl and worst company you will ever deal with . In short , they picked up my stuff from Mississauga on jan 12 and promised me they will deliver it on jan 23 . On jan 23 I called Meghan and asked her to check on the truck she told me I'll call the driver check where he is and call you back , of course there was no truck and no driver and she was lieing and making it up while I was sitting waiting all day for my shipment . I speak to Nicole who says she is the manager and she was clueless as to why Meghan promised me this date , and told me Me the next scheduled departure is feb 1. I received my stuff march 7 . Two months of fake promises and excuses and flat out liessss.And to top it off , when I asked her to come pick up my stuff from them because I can't wait for them any more, she says pay the balance in full and we will give you your stuff , otherwise , wait for us to deliver it !!!!!!Abraham the owner is the rudest most arrogant human being you can ever talk to ,he simply doesn't give a crap and probably has this bussiness as a cover up . Do yourself a huge favor and stayyyyyyyyy awayyyyyyyyy . Worst experience of my life .

They were very cheap and that is the only advantage they have. We had never moved cross country before and Multicity had all the right answers to make the sale but they just make it up as they go. We booked pickup for Dec 20 and paid deposit. On the 18 they called and said there was a delay and they would be there Dec 22. On the 22 after waiting all day they said the 23, then the 24. On Christmas eve in a house of boxes the driver called and said he could be there for sure on Christmas day 10am. We instructed them to come on Friday Dec 27, which surprisingly they actually showed. The office said it would take 3-4 hours to load, 8 hours later everything was loaded. I had booked two deliveries one small and then the remainder after we found a permanent place to live. Contract was for half payment on first delivery, second half plus storage fees on second delivery. A week later than original delivery date they showed at 8pm (said 10am) and wanted full payment for delivering 10% of our stuff. I talked with owner Abraham he said front office isn't allowed to make contracts like that, he said he did all the work wanted all the money. They also tried to overcharge us more than $500. Finally we agreed that they would deliver the rest of our stuff that week and we would pay the full balance on that delivery. Three days later they showed up at 7pm after saying 10am with a truckload and unloaded it into our onsite storage that we luckily had. But they only brought half of the stuff. Talked to the warehouse manager, told that 10am the next day would bring rest of stuff. 4pm next days truck shows and unloads again. Now only three things missing only one of which they admited to still having. 6 weeks later they finally delivered it. I'm sure the other two items are gone forever. We were lucky to get our stuff in the shape it was in, it could have been way worse. There is no coordination between office and warehouse, and they will just make stuff up to get you off the phone. So if you want to risk all your belongings to a company that doesn't honor its own contracts, that tries to overcharge, and is completely unreliable in terms of service and deliveries just to save a few dollars then this is your moving company.

Please do yourself a favor and do NOT book with this company. Take your time and read the other reviews on this company. My move was delayed and they could not come pick up in time for me to be able to fly to my new city. I had to cancel last minute and find a new company. I was promised my 200$ deposit back and still havn't received it 2 months after the move. 6 hours after cancelling and being told that they could not pick up on time their driver called me at 10pm to say he was at the pick up location. Zero communication... and zero customer service. I repeat, do not book with this company. Do your homework. Learn from my mistake!

one of the worst experience in life by choosing multicity movers. They delayed the move nearly 2 months and did not provide any discount or compensation. They took advantage of the situation that they hold our things. Please do not choose this worst movers. Customers satisfaction is very poor. Employees are very harsh and they do not have any respect for customers. Make sure they mention the delivery date very specifically and also confirm about concession and discount if they delay the delivery. I would defenetely not recommend this movers to any..my experience has been a night mare...especially do not talk to Nicole(Manager) because her promise will go in vain and if they promise any concession make sure they give it written..otherwise they will deny the fact in the end....

The moving company did not honour the prior agreed upon pick up date for our load to go to Calgary from Ontario.
We are writing this as a warning for people who are considering using this company for their moving needs. The company we had agreed to using was called Multi City Moving and Storage Inc. We had emailed with them back and forth (with Nicole) and on Nov 22, 2013, we sent a deposit of $150 on our Mastercard(over the phone) in good faith that we had a contract between our 2 parties that they would come pick up our load on Dec 12, 2013 and ship it to Calgary to be there Jan.1, 2014. We had this all arranged over a month before our intended moving date and thought that they would honour their end of the deal since we paid a deposit. I received a confirmation of payment email from Nicole on Nov 22, 2013 that our payment was received and that one of their reps would be in contact with us a day in advance to let us know when the driver would be at our house.
On Dec. 10, we had received no contact from the company so we called them and to our dismay, Nicole told me that they had no drivers available to come pick up the load until Dec.22, which would be a week later than originally agreed upon. We had flights booked on Dec.15 to fly out of Ontario and we had to drive our family of 4 down to Toronto, and we had tenants moving into the house in South Porcupine starting Dec. 15. Everything was planned accordingly and we had to get all our stuff out of the house.We were relocating from Ontario to Alberta. This was totally unacceptable, this left us scrambling with so much stress trying to find a new across country moving company with only 2 days left.
We kept calling the company trying to get an explanation, compensation and refund of our deposit, only to have them say that it was out of their hands and I had to talk to the owner. I called several times the next day, and the owner was never available. Nicole would also not answer my calls and I kept leaving messages with the receptionist. Finally I decided to find another moving company on my own and it ended up to be more than double of what we orginally budgeted for. We are extremely dissatisfied with the service at Multi City Moving and for the way they handled our situation. Everything was turned around so that they made it seem like it was our fault for what happened. I asked for the deposit back and they told me because it was taking us so long to decide what to do about the situation that they could no longer give us back our deposit. I was shocked. Finally Megan said they would have to check with management and get back to me. In the end they did refund our deposit 2 weeks later. But no other attempts were made to help us find other arrangements, compensate us for the stress caused or even apologize for their mistake. We are still very frustrated and upset about this and hope that they will make amends with us. (Less)

Never ever use Mutlicity moving company. They picked up about 14000 pounds of household goods from Ont. to deliver in AB. They insisted on getting paid in full before dropping off our goods. But they delivered only 7000 pounds. From what they dropped off, most of fragile items were broken. We also received boxes contaminated with engine oil. When we contacted them, they were very rude, unprofessional and insensitive to our situation. We felt violated and rubbed.
