Do not buy at The Brick and certainly never use their so called Appliance Repair department. The words CUSTOMER and SERVICE are only for show at this company and they have no interest or concern about your satisfaction or providing what you paid for. A sad example of profit over substance and customer focus. We were offered a "special deal" when we bought our new condo to buy our appliances at The Brick and it was the worst consumer experience of our lives. When they delivered our supposedly upgraded units, 3 out of 5 appliances malfunctioned or didn't work at all. (these were all Frigidaire Gallery products) When we asked for an exchange for appliances that actually worked, they launched us on a SIX MONTH long fight from hell that required over 200 emails, 8 technician visits and 4 appliance exchanges. On top of that we ended up having to take six days off work to do this to accommodate THEIR schedule. They scratched our floors twice and several of the delivery people were extremely rude and one even bullied my wife. Their "customer service" model is geared to give you sub-par products and then make the process of getting what you paid for as arduous and frustrating as possible, hoping you will give up. Countless delays were experienced while we waited for the minions that work in their "customer service" department to supposedly clear any action with the mysterious and invisible "upper management" group. The managers of these "procedures" as they liked to refer to them, never actually dealt with us directly or offered any explanation as to why they were ok with the notion of brand new appliances that needed repair before you used them once. The more than 200 emails is not an exaggeration. We couldn't use our oven for over 3 months, we had to do our laundry at the laundromat for 6 weeks and the fridge made noise that sometimes woke us in the night. The technicians they sent were on the whole useless and incompetent. We had 3 different parts on the dryer and stove replaced on BRAND NEW applainces and they never acknowledged the foolishness of having to get out of the box appliances repaired. Never buy at The Brick, DEFINITELY not appliances and for goodness sake, don't call them to repair your appliances. The first technician they sent to look at the dryer literally never opened his tool box. He looked at the dryer and declared the problem to be with our breaker panel without even opening the door or looking at the wiring. For this I had to take a day off work and of course he was 100% wrong. My condo manager replaced our breaker panel on this moron's assessment, yet more expense and time wasted due to laziness and not being qualified for the job. The time, cost, stress and frustration of trying to simply get what we paid for out of these people was by far the worst buying and customer service (not a usable term really with The Brick) we have ever experienced. We hope this review saves others from having to experience the same.
