This has been a horrible experience - I still can't believe it! I really didn't want to end up here writing this but I have no choice at this point. These guys did the job for us November 2020. It was very cold. There was never any mention that low temperatures may be an issue. They completed the job just fine. Two weeks later came the first snow and the stairs and patio were like an ice rink! It was so scary! My husband fell down on the stairs a few times. We had to spend extra money to purchase rubber mats for each stair leading up to our front door, as well as a special box to put at the bottom of the stairs where packages and mail can be left so that folks were not coming up the stairs - we were so worried someone might get hurt and/or sue us! In March 2021, I contacted them because when the snow melted, we noticed that some of the paint was already peeling. This guy, Rawi, didn't come to take a look until fall of that year even though I contacted him many times and each time, he'd say he'd come soon. At that point, it was peeling badly - it looked really ugly, worse then before we even got any work done. I suspect they went cheap on the seal and didn't do it properly. It was so embarrassing and frustrating after all the money we spent (took out of our baby's savings!). The paint and seal would come off even if just water from the hose touched the ground...He came and was very "surprised" at the state of things. He said he'll come first thing in the spring. I had a hard time negotiating that we should not be charged anything extra but he seemed to agree. So March 2022 (a year after I first asked for the fixes), I started messaging again and he came in April and said he'll do it as soon as the weather is above 15 (never mentioned temperature being an issue when he did the job in very cold weather in November). It's now almost July and we've been in touch weekly - every time, he makes it sound so friendly and like he's just about to send someone over. Week after week, he would say it'll be done in days. I finally realized it's not going to get done and I asked for 75% (I was being nice) of our money back. He said he'll get it to me but doesn't have it now so I have to be patient (15 months waiting for a redo was not patient?!). I don't think he will give that money back unless I take formal action which I will. He seems to think that this being a "small" job, he can just disregard but this is people's money! I cannot simply give up and forget, and I have to look at this ground every day...

Starting with the salesperson, going through the receptionist and finishing with the three installers - we've been very happy with everyone we've worked with over at Windowtech. The team was efficient in ensuring our contract was completed on time before the GreenON rebate program was shut down. The installation took only 8 hours and the work was so clean, there was very little dust to clean up and no paint touch-ups needed around the frames. We are excited to have our first winter with these new windows as the old ones were freezing and leaking, and looking forward to the cheaper bills too!
