I hired IAQ to test my basement ceiling tiles for asbestos. Shawn Rankin from IAQ came to my house to do the job. When he came, he asked why I wanted to test for asbestos and I explained that it was because I wanted to get rid of the ceiling tile to investigate the extent of a crack on my foundation. He asked the kind of job that foundation contractors were proposing to fix the problem and he gave me advice on what do to and most importantly, what seemed to be over-scoped by the foundation contractors and didn't really need to be done. Shawn went well beyond the asbestos testing job and gave me advice about what to do about the foundation repair. He also noticed that there was mold in the basement, provided me with a plan to solve that problem, and gave me direct links to various products. In summary, I hired IAQ to do asbestos testing and ended up with a wealth of information and expert advice. I would recommend IAQ and Shawn Rankin to family and friends.
