We decided to go with New kitchen Toronto for our recent renovation in our condominium based on the reviews and upon meeting with Dmitriy. From the beginning he was very helpful, honest and helped us with the Ikea kitchen we chose, letting us know how many rails, cover panels, trim, etc we needed to order. His partner Sergei came to install the kitchen and he was very fast, knew the Ikea system really well and did the demolition with uttermost care to leave the backsplash and floor tile intact as these were not changing in our new design. Our place is very small and I really have to commend Sergei for working in such a confined space without damaging anything. The kitchen installation was done really nicely, everything fitting perfectly. The only thing i would suggest is to make sure you completely go through the whole project with both Dmitriy and Sergei, because there was a bit of a misunderstanding with some elements. As most people who have used the Ikea planning tools would know, sometimes the Ikea Kitchen Planner is not the best tool and will not allow you to resize cover panels or things like that; so make sure you go through the little details with both of them to save them extra work. Also, when i realized that the new cabinets were higher than the existing one (because there had previously been new flooring laid out that raised everything up), I asked Sergei to bring the cabinets down as much as he could to avoid having 2 different counter heights; which he did even though it involved reassembling the cabinets. Aside from installing new cabinets, they also helped us with retrofitting an existing base cabinet in the kitchen with new doors and doing the custom work required to cover it with the new materials and fit in the new doors which were smaller and required a few custom panels. Great job Sergei and Dmitriy, we are really enjoying our new kitchen.

Based on the reviews, we contacted Emil at APlus granite, after trying another place that was no good. We needed to add a countertop to our kitchen to match an existing one we already had. the material was pretty common, Black Galaxy, 3cm (1.25in); but the other company told us we had to buy the full slab for over 3000 or use 3/4in Black Galaxy made with a lip to look like 1.25in. This came obviously at a higher price (more machining) and would have looked worse. Emil charged us per square foot, using 1.25in Black Galaxy and he matched the edge bullnose to that of our existing countertop. He also recommended several places to look at slabs of Black Galaxy so that we could match the slab exactly to our liking. I really appreciated the fast, reliable and helpful service that Emil provided and he measured our countertop in a day to perfection, installed it right on time and helped us make our kitchen look like the 2 countertops had been cut from the same slab of granite.
