Community Tree Care was very responsive and professional from my first contact with them. They came by to give me a quote, and showed up when they said they would. Quote was provided later that day and they came and did the work soon afterwards. The work involved removing dead trees, dead branches, raising the canopy of a spruce tree, and trimming multiple bushes. They cleaned up all wood and brush and now my backyard looks beautiful! We originally had Iberia do some work for us 5 years ago when they re-did our interlocking stone walkway and steps at the front of our house. Five years later when it was time to do a new deck in our backyard, our positive experience with Iberia in the past made them my first call for a quote. Chris was responsive and came when he said he would come, and provided a quick and detailed quote. He provided useful suggestions and asked the right questions so that we knew his team would be well prepared for the job. It was a complicated job with steps down to a walkout, a retaining wall, interlock surrounding the deck, and a pressure treated wood deck. To complicate things further, we have a massive tree in our backyard that would need to be built into the design. We were also concerned about animals (our previous deck had raccoons living under it at some point, and we definitely didn’t want that again) so it was designed to keep out unwanted raccoon families! Chris’ team ended up starting the job earlier than expected (which was great since now we get to enjoy the deck for more of the summer!) and did a fantastic job. They even replicated a wood louvre system in one wall of the deck (similar to California shutters) that I had seen in a magazine and fell in love with. The team showed up every day and worked hard until it was done and the quality of the work is evident. We’ve already had tons of compliments on the deck. They also did the ‘little things’ that I didn’t specifically ask for but finished the look and were much appreciated. Thank you Chris, Don and team!

My husband and I recently bought a home and had the carpets replaced. Our carpet installer advised us to get our ducts cleaned afterwards since they would be creating dust when scraping up the underpadding. Steve came to our home with the intention of cleaning the ducts, but after doing an inspection, advised us that they didn't need to be cleaned after all. Like many other stories on Homestars, he actually advised me that I needed a smaller job than I originally intended. Since Steve was already at my home, he ended up vacuuming some of my return air vents, but I don't even think that was needed. I've already recommended them to a friend. I think these guys are really in the business for the long run since they put customer service first.

My husband and I bought a 27-year old house where the carpets were original to the house and in rough shape. I contacted Mark and he came within two days for an initial consultation. When we had to use one of our home visits before we took possession so that Mark could take measurements, he showed up right on time and was quick and professional, which was great because we had limited time in the house for this type of visit. When I decided to increase the scope of the project - to carpet the basement as well - Mark was able to come to the house AGAIN within a couple of days. Great service. Mark was obviously knowledgeable and gave me great advice on the stair runners - he could have sold me something more expensive but impractical for the long run - but he chose to advise me on an option that would be long-wearing and much more practical. Mark also advised that our original underpadding was the kind that disintegrates over time, and when they remove it, it would create a lot of dust and we would need to get our ducts cleaned afterwards. Well, they must have done a great job to contain the dust because the duct cleaner we hired said our ducts were relatively clean. I think Mark's team used some kind of crazy super vacuum. End result is beautiful and the price was lower than 2 other quotes I got. Our staircase in particular looks great - it is circular and the centrepiece of our home - and Mark and his team did a great job with the installation. The whole installation was completed in one (long!) day rather than 2 days which was the original estimate.
