Furnace Maintenance Contract not Honoured
We have a monthly furnace maintenance contract which includes an annual servicing call. I typically have this done in early autumn. In 2022 when I called to book the appointment they said the earliest they could come was mid-February, five months away! The reason was that they were very short-staffed. But they assured me that it would count as our 2022 servicing. They did come on February 16 2023 as promised, and the technician again assured me that it would be considered our 2022 call. And he suggested I book for autumn 2023 in June. So I just tried to book my appointment for October 2023. And I was told to call back in December and book for 2024. The computer system wouldnt permit another 2023 booking. I asked to speak to a supervisor who could override the system and was told there was no point, because other customers had made the same complaint and no solution had been found. Yet Reliance has not offered to refund the $300 paid in 2022 for which we received no servicing, due entirely to their staff shortage. I would absolutely not buy a maintenance contract from this company as they will not honour their commitment.
