Thanks to Brenden, service tech for Mr. Swirl, who arrived to asses the problem with our hot water tank (no hot water - we discovered that the pilot light had gone out, and we were unable to re-light it ourselves). His manner was friendly and calm, and shortly after his service call we had hot water again, so in that way it was most successful! He also offered clear information about standard warranties on hot water tanks, which proved to be helpful in moving ahead quickly with the repair. Timeliness left a little to be desired, in that my understanding was that he would arrive around 2:00 pm, and it was not until about 2:30 that the office called to let me know he would arrive 'within the hour' - which he did. Additionally, I believe that the nature of the problem and what we had done so far had been explained during the intial call to book the service, however when he arrived he seemed to have no knowledge of that information. My conclusion from this is that some communication improvements between the service tech(s?) and the office handling the bookings would be a good next step for this company. Re: cost - I have no idea if it was good value for the money; we needed the work done and that was what it cost and we paid it. I'm fine with that. Very happy to have hot water again!
