Modular was outstanding from start to finish. Communication was excellent and the entire renovation process was well explained. The terms of the contract were spelled out very clearly and there was no pressure. While we originally planned just a top-up, we discovered in the process that it was to our advantage to renovate and insulate the main floor. Modular was very flexible in accommodating our changes and the pricing was always fair. We also benefited from the rebates provided by government's energy retrofit program. Once the project got started the team worked quickly and efficiently. Dule, the project manager, kept us well informed of what was happening every step of the way. The crew worked long hours in the dead of winter, so we were very impressed. We were out of our house for just one month before we were able to move back into the basement. We were in new upstairs bedrooms a month after that. Modular was considerate with our neighbours and we had no complaints -- just compliments. While we had the option of subcontracting, we decided to go with Modular for the majority the interior work and it was worth it. Everything was done to our satisfaction. My advice to anyone planning a top-up or other renovation is: 1) stay involved, ask plenty of questions and visit the site regularly 2) budget a little extra to cover unexpected items 3) consider going with Modular -- they are true professionals.
