Worst renovation experience of my life! A promised 2 week job turned into 3 months. Product was not delivered when promised. Sales person lied regarding delivery of product. Project foreman attempted to cover up work which was not done to building code. Trades walked off job due to no compensation from Plumbing Mart from past jobs. Foreman argued with trades on my property. Job was finished by my chosen trades after I fired Plumbing Mart. I will never walk into a Plumbing Mart store even just to purchase a faucet. - Company Response
I have just receive the file regarding client "Warren Lee" from our archives such that I could investigate his complaint posted under our banner.
I can confirm that Warren Lee was a client of Plumbing Mart Mississauga location. We began a renovation at his home with respect to a shower stall installation. We had taken an original $500.00 deposit from the client at the time of booking. Prior to project commencement we took a further draw for $7,750.00 as per the contract terms. After that money cleared we delivered all of the product to his home and we began the demolition phase of the project. We then worked forward and completed much of the installation. At the 50% point we put through his next required payment for $6,600.00 and continued working towards completion. Mr. Lee immediately
contact Visa and had the payment reversed without notification to Plumbing Mart. A few days later we were
notified of this action by Visa and we withdrew services as we were now in a position of financial defecit with respect to funds owed to us for services and products supplied to date. Mr. Lee was unable, or unwilling to pay us for products and services he had received thus far and to fulfill his obligations under the terms of the contract. We received no further compensations nor were we able to receive any of our products back so as to offset them against our losses as Mr. Lee denied us access to the job site to retrieve our property. In the end he received a nearly completed renovation for which he has not paid for. We chose not to proceed legal action as the costs equalled the benefit so there was no gain to be enjoyed by us.Should anyone require, I have all of the paperwork available for you to confirm our position and view for yourself just how risky it is sometimes for renovation firms to extend themselves into an uncertain marketplace.
We were informed that Mr. Lee used the services of an individual contractor to complete the work and we make no representations or warranties with respect to that individuals abilities to meet our standards.
Why he has chosen to post a malicious comment about our company in light of the fact that he has caused us extreme financial harm is beyond and reasoning we can imagine.
Respectfully,
