painting, plumbing, floor tiles
I originally hired Emmanuel to paint my living room, dining room and kitchen, including removal of a border paper in the kitchen. He did a fine job of this, although there are paint splatters on the floor. He replaced a header over the window, unfortunately the brackets he used were of different sizes, and the board has curved and come away from the wall. I also asked him if he could replace the bathroom sink. This was more complicated than we originally thought, and he needed to shop for parts. I am very happy about this work. My main concern was about the floor tiles he laid in the kitchen. There was a delay in delivery, while waiting he replaced the bathroom sink. Emmanuel recommended a tile product called lay loose. (or loose lay- I can't remember) It's fairly new, I should have asked him if he had used it before, because now I think he hadn't. There are several gaps where the tiles don't meet. I think he knew this before he left, as I saw him trying to kick one back into place. Also during this process he managed to put 2 dents in the fridge as he pulled it out. This work was completed by autumn. Emmanuel claimed to be going to USA for the winter, I also was planning to be away, so we agreed he'd come back to fix the floor in February. He responded once to an email, promising to call me. He didn't and has not responded to my next 3 emails.
