Anthony was hired by me in the spring of 2012 to undertake both paving and horticultural work in the backyard and mutual drive areas of my home. He was strongly recommended to me by a neighbour who described her working relationship with Anthony as the best experience with a contractor she had ever had. I was soon to find out the reasons for this, and was soon to develop an equal view. Skill and attention to detail were demonstrated by him in the pavement of the mutual drive where, amongst other things, care was taken to ensure adequate slope for drainage. A number of useful suggestions were also made to contain paving costs. In addition, considerable knowledge was displayed in the planting of a variety of ornamental trees where measurement of soil pH and required planting depths were carefully assessed in order to ensure the future success of these trees. His formal training at Humber College, where he had previously obtained a certificate as a Landscape Technician, was clearly present as was his concern for excellence in the quality of his work. In the spring of 2013 Anthony will be returning to my property to continue with additional paving and planting projects, and so, in closing, it would be fair to say that I could not recommend him more.

Peter, of Sigma Electric, was hired by me to replace the remaining knob and tube wiring on the second floor of my house. He was hired over other contractors given the reasonableness of his quote, his very pleasant manner, and a knowledge that his company had qualified as a participant in the Approved Contractor Program of the Ontario Electrical Safety Authority - a qualification held only by those with proven technical competence. This decision was clearly the right choice. Despite the challenges of the job - hours spent in a dark and dirty attic, endless trips from that attic to the electrical panel in the basement and then up again, inexplicable and dangerous wiring situations uncovered and corrected - the job was completed quickly and competently with minimal disruption to my home. In consequence, I could not recommend Peter and his company more.
