Wanting to give our house a fresh look, we chose Milestone Aluminum to replace the old siding on the front of our house, after getting multiple quotes, reading the reviews and, also talking to Dorian; who was very accommodating to our needs and easy to deal with. The quote we got from Dorian was highly competitive and unlike other companies, it was an inclusive with no unexpected add-ons. The work was carried out by a small team, who did a fantastic job; they worked hard, were friendly and polite, and cleaned up after the job was complete. We are really happy with the new look of our house, and very pleased we chose Milestone for this job. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

In need of replacement/repair of the parging on one side of our 100+ year old house, with repair to cracks on the other side, as well as repair to the pointing between bricks - we got quotes from a number of masonry firms, including from BAM. When Phong came over, he talked us through what he thought needed doing and gave us a quote. It was very competitive - not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive. Phong was also willing to do the job at relatively short notice. The core work took Phong and his partner a day to do, with finishing off and clean up etc. taking an additional 1/2 day. This is what Phong had quoted and the work was - to my limited knowledge - done well. From the start Phong said he wanted to do a job that we were satisfied with and he was as good as his word - he replaced a number of cracked bricks for us that went above the work in the original quote, but he was good enough to keep the price the same. I would say that masonry work is not cheap, but for us it was necessary. I would go back to BAM and Phong if I have similar work that is needed.

Got a number of quotes from the top Windows installers on Homestars, but with a Jaimco showroom in our area, we decided to also get a quote from them. Mike, the salesman, was very professional and friendly, and impressed us with his commitment to the Vinyblilt product and the fact that he was prepared to give us a very competitive quote. We decided to go with Jaimco based on our meeting with Mike and had all the front and side windows replaced plus a sliding door to the garden in our kitchen. All teh windows were custom made, and the order went through within a couple of weeks, with fitting within the month - very fast. The fitters that turned up were hardworking and efficient. All the work was done in two days, and we were left with a clean and much brighter and better looking house. It is now about a month since we had the windows fitted and we are VERY happy with using Jaimco, with Mike for his help, and for the new fresh feel the windows have given our older house.

Just moved to a house that needed the furnace replaced. Got three quotes, one from an energy company and two from the top Homestar contenders, one being Boris of Cozy World.. All three suggested that we replace the AC unit as well as the furnace, which we were happy to do. Based on similar products and work, the energy company's estimate was significantly higher that the other two, whose estimates were both in the same ballpark. The reason we chose Cozy World for our HVAC replacement was for the most part Boris' approach. He was a soft sell, didn't run down other companies, didn't blow his own trumpet, but simply explained to me what Cozy World could provide, how they would provide it and answered all my questions as to what would be needed. Boris is a straight shooter, tells things how they are, and always seems happy to explain things, without going in to too much technical details. At no time did we feel he was pushing anything on us. Boris encouraged us to put in a system that would meet our needs as oppose to simply buy the top of the range units. This was an aspect of Boris, and Cozy World, that I really appreciated. Added to this the warranty offered by Boris, which comes backed directly by the manufacturer, exceeded the warranty offered by the competing company. When it came to the day of installation, Fred and another installer turned up, asked where the old furnace was located and once shown, set to work. They worked for seven hours straight, did a wonderful job in terms of making a clean and tidy install and left my basement in a better state than when they had arrived. After the new units were installed and working I had a number of follow up questions for Boris, to do with the warranty, OAP rebates and also some questions on the HVAC ducting, which he dealt with immediately. I have no hestition in recommending Boris and the Cozy World team for HVAC installations.

Moved in to a new house with an inspection that warned that the chimney (amongst other things) would need cleaning. Our realtor recommended Magic Touch and so we arranged an appointment. Richard cleaned our chimney, which he did very well, leaving it clean and useable. He also did a thorough inspection of the fireplace, chimney and also the furnance chimney (from the roof) without any extra charge. Richard was very friendly and personable and while he recommended that we should get a section of our chimney replaced he explained why and clearly was not trying to upsell us... in fact he told us it was something we should consider for the future, which we will. Overall we are very happy that we used Richard and Magic Touch.

Moved in to a new house and had scheduled a replacement HVAC system, then a few days before realised that we needed our ducts cleaned first. Called a few companies, but Paul and Adrian at Canaduct were quick to return our call and sounded as if they would be a good bet (the price was reasonable and reviews on Homestars were good)... Adrian turned up with an assistant, a few days later, and spent the best part of two hours doing a thorough clean of our system. He was very personable, hard working and didn't mind explaining exactly what he was doing and why... (always a good sign in my book). My wife and I are very happy we used Canaduct for the cleaning and wouldn't hesitate in recommending their services.
