Dom Garisto, owner of BNZ was the first contractor at my major renovation in September 2021 when he built a large retaining wall. That work withstood the abuse of construction and still looks great. He finally returned in the summer of 2023 to regrade the site, lay paving stones for a driveway and plant grass. The work was complicated due to the difficult access and the multiple grading requirements and geometries of the site. The result is a clean, tidy and accurate installation that has completely changed my site. The best part was that Dom did this work while I was on vacation, following the design instructions I left him. He checked in regularly with progress updates and contacted me when there were some problems with the design, which we quickly rectified. Returning home after my holiday to see my home surrounded by the clean, tidy and straight lines of the paving was the highlight of my year. Dom is serious about his work, says what he will do and then does it without wasting time or presenting surprises.

I have seen Dominic's truck in my neighbourhood for years and so he was the first call I made when I needed a new retaining wall at my house. I called him once and he followed up several times and then came to estimate. He immediately understood the work and could see that it was a rush, and since it was a smaller job, was able to fit it in the following week. He worked quickly right along his guys and was done in about two days. He was careful with the work and checked on the details, like the mitred coping stone. The work looks great, there were no surprises and he was professional and easy to deal with. I look forward to having him back next year when we are ready to interlock our driveway.

Brian arrived first thing in the morning and quickly assessed my garage , which had been invaded by a skunk. He gave me a quote to solve the problem and then did it immediately, in a courteous and professional manner. It was much appreciate.

I called John to my house after seeing one of his trucks on the road to ask for a quote to strip out a whole house. Even though it was 6 months before the work was ready to start, he provided an accurate quote and showed up on the site exactly on the day and hour that he promised. His crew was very professional, with more tools and safety gear than I see with most carpenters. Instead of "demolishing" the interiors, they proceeded to methodically dismantle and carry them out. They even capped the water lines with their own plumbing fittings. In the end , they finished sooner than promised, with no surprise extras, even though the house threw them a few curveballs. I have already recommended them to friends and general contractors and am sure we will work together again.

Andre Kern, owner of Air Doctors, was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He removed asbestos impregnated ceiling and pipe wrap, as well as mould, from a house that I am renovating. He was clearly experienced and knowledgeable in this field and was quickly able to understand the work and also point out where the possible problems were. They arrived on site a half hour early on exactly the day that had been agreed, 6 MONTHS EARLIER! The work went smoothly and ahead of schedule. When additional asbestos pipe wrap was found under the ceilings, the additional cost charged was less than he had estimated in his original quote, which was also reasonable. I was very grateful that Andre came on a Sunday afternoon to remove a last piece of pipe wrap that had been discovered on Friday afternoon which allowed us to start the next stage of work on Monday. Through all of this Andre was professional and pleasant, and always answered his phone, all of which made the experience memorable. I have already recommended him and his company to friends and hope to work with him again, if I'm unlucky enough to find more asbestos!

Sobol was hired to replace an existing window and built a raised flashed ledge. Archie, the owner, did the small window installation for a reasonable cost and the work was completed to a better standard than I was expecting. As a second job, they repaired a door that was incorrectly installed by a previous contractor. Instead of just replacing the door, they reworked the hinges and jamb in a clever way. Maga, one of the installers, even filed the tops of the new screws so that they would look similar to the others. The clever repair cost less than originally quoted and the door works fine now. I am very happy with their service and have recommended them to others.
