I had worked with HIP in the past to do the den in the basement. My first experience was great, I figured it would be best to hire again someone I trust. I'm happy I did! We did the unfinished part of our basement which included our laundry room, some closet spaces and a washroom. We also redid the main washroom in the second floor. The renovations look gorgeous!!! It all looks like it came out of an HGTV show. Philip, Elia and Christian were always helpful to us, they answered all of our questions, explained as much as they could and did their best to meet us halfway. Philip and Elia always made time to answer our questions, explain the quotes and the project to us. Christian came again to do basement like the first time. He was great to work with again, he even advocated for us when we had to call the rental company of our furnace because some of the cables were leaking and could damage the ceiling that he was about to start. They didn't want to use better parts at the beginning but with Christian's help and explanation they made the changes necessary to ensure no more leaks would come from their cheap cables. Not all contractors are amazing like that! I'm happy he was there to help us out, because we definitely could have handled the situation and explained it as clear as he did. We are very grateful to have found them. I really appreciated all the work they did for us. I would suggest asking for them when doing a project. I can't wait to call them again for more projects in the house.

We bought our first home in March and had issues with the basement from the very first day; plumbing issues and then we discovered mold. It was a nightmare. We have a baby coming and absolutely needed the space. HIP was our favourite from the beginning (they’re pictures are amazing) and they were also the cheapest. Philip was very nice, we went back and forth about what we could afford. He was very understanding. Elia, the project manager, was always available for questions and also very nice. The guys Chris and Carlos did an amazing job with the basement, they were great at capturing our expectations for the renovations and turning it into a reality, they left everything clean and were just great to have during the renovations. We’re in love with the results, we can finally enjoy the space downstairs peacefully. They’re still more projects to do around the house, HIP will probably become our go to contractors!

We finally bought our first home in March. We knew from the inspection that there was a leak in the basement and some issues with the sink. We had a flood in the basement when we did the laundry. Naturally, we called a plumber. I talked to Jason about the inspection report and used a camera to check the pipes. Turns out they were all broken, Jason was very helpful though. He highly recommended a sump pump which we refused because replacing all the pipes was very expensive. We should have listened to him since we had to call him back. We had mold in the basement and as they were vacuuming the water out more water was coming in from the ground. Apparently there is a high level water in the neighborhood and all the neighbors have a sump pump! This time we followed all his recommendations. We got a sump pump and a back up battery, as per Jason suggestion. we did not want more headaches with the basement. Now it is super dry and we are really happy!

My husband found a mushroom in the washroom and I was disgusted! We called and Kate was very kind, we were able to book an appointment for when it was the most convenient for us. We loved the team that came to do the work. They explained everything from top to bottom and answered all of our questions. They were also very mindful of our child and desinfected everything for our safety. I am very grateful for all the work they did and feel at peace knowing there no more mold or mushroom in my house.
