I've gone back to James several times for piano moving and tuning over the years, and I've never been disappointed. This past fall, James moved an upright piano for us, and was prompt and professional. And the rates are very reasonable. There was never any doubt about the care and quality of the work. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again, or recommend him to friends.

I called up Torcool, as I had seen their van in my neighbourhood. Unlike other contractors, Torcool's associates picked up the phone and put in the service request right away. Despite the usual issue with home contractors (waiting 2.5 hours for him to arrive), I was impressed with the degree of professionalism and honesty of the service technician (Joe). I had braced for costly parts replacement, but it turned out just to be a clogged evaporator tube - a problem that is apparently common on our particular Lennox furnace. I wouldn't hesitate calling up Torcool again for my furnace maintenance and servicing needs.

We've been with Alarm Force for almost 7 years. Great customer service, and reliable support. Any issues have been resolved promptly. It's also one of the most affordably priced services, without feeling that you're sacrificing anything.

Peter at Modern Appliance was great - he promptly returned my calls, answered my questions over the phone and when the time came to repair our Samsung dryer, he was thorough in walking me through what needed to be done. His honesty, transparency and professionalism instantly made him my go-to for all future appliance repairs. Well done!

Robert Timm and his crew (David) did a thorough and professional job removing asbestos from our vents and basement floor (tiles had to be removed). Everything from analysis to removal was handled promptly and professionally, and I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to friends.

James and his crew were a pleasure to work with. They moved an upright piano from an apartment to my house effortlessly. They even arrived on time, and when it was discovered that a leg on my piano was broken (it had been that way for some time, before the movers arrived), James stepped in and performed a repair on the spot - no questions asked. I would not hesitate to use them again, and I will be recommending them to any friends who may be moving a piano. I'm also planning to ask James back to do some tuning.

My wife and I quoted out a few aluminum contractors, and we felt that Royal Crown's quote offered the most value. We also appreciated the BBB and HomeStars ratings. However, it's always a bit of a gamble when you're trying out a new contractor. For the most part, we were satisfied with the railings installed on our front porch. We were replacing old wrought iron railings and were pleased with the craftsmanship and aesthetic/appearance of the work that was done. That being said, there were some issues with the process of booking that actual job. The estimate was booked and performed promptly, but for the job we were initially given a date and approximate time (we were told that the installation would arrive roughly first thing in the morning - between 9 and 10) - only to have the installers not show up by late afternoon, without a call explaining why. When I called to get an explanation (they were "running late with a previous job") and re-book the job, there was a communication mix-up, and I was given the wrong date on the second attempt. On the third attempt, despite my request for a morning installation, the contractor arrived at 1:30pm. In the end the job was done, but after 3 attempts, it was a bit disconcerting. The other small, yet notable issue was with the on-site clean-up after the job was performed. After the contractor had left, I noticed loose screws and aluminum shavings all around the work area. I should have mentioned that we have small children, so a note to anyone considering using Royal Crown, please make sure the contractor has adequately cleaned up their mess before they leave - or be prepared to spend an hour with a Shop Vac yourself!! Despite the two issues above, I'm still pleased with the work that was done, and hope that the workmanship and materials stand the test of time. Also, they were very accommodating when following up on touch-up painting, which was a plus.
