I had the kind of small job that most contractors either don’t want or will charge too much for. I needed several basement floor tiles replaced after having some emergency plumbing repair done. Peter was highly recommended by a neighbour whose kitchen he had redone. Peter quoted me a very reasonable price and time line. I had to buy the tiles myself ($27 at the tile store). Peter arrived on time and set to work in a professional manner. He expertly cut the tiles that needed to be resized and compensated for a slight disparity in thickness between the new tiles and the existing ones. After about half a day of work my basement floor was restored and looking good.

Our old front porch was rickety and ugly. We hired Andrew to replace the flooring, railing, steps, ceiling, and partial walls on both sides. He also added insulation in the ceiling and surrounding cavities. The main bedroom is partly over the porch and we could feel the cold coming in there. His work was professional and finished in a timely manner. We now have front porch we are proud of, with a good sturdy floor, railing, and steps. Replacing the old aluminum ceiling with wood made a big difference. I had made drawings and taken photos of how we wanted the side walls and railing to look and he matched our ideas perfectly. After he had finished everything we noticed that the steps were uneven; he had calculated the riser heights incorrectly and they were not all the same, making them somewhat awkward to climb. Andrew quickly returned, with no argument, and corrected the problem even though it meant a rebuild of steps. I believed we paid a fair price for the work, and we are very happy with the results.

The work was done a year ago and it remains flawless. Serge and his crew were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The price was in line with other competitive quotes that we received. We were given a wide selection of styles and colours to choose from for the vinyl siding and the colour was matched on the aluminum eavestroughs and downpipes. They also installed insulation behind the siding. The work was started at the time promised and finished on schedule. Part way through, we asked if they could replace our front window with a more up-to-date and efficient style, which they did right away. Big improvement. The work was beyond our expectations in every way; Serge even painted our electrical standpipe to match the new siding. The appearance of our home is much improved, as is its protection from the elements. Thank you Serge, it was a positive experience and and I'm glad we did it.
