Very glad I got Joe out today to get rid of a couple of bird's nests in fan vents on the side of our house. He came over in 15 minutes, was exceptionally thorough (including scrubbing the siding of the house with bleach at my request), got the nests out - and a dead bird, put screens behind the louvers of the vents and was reasonably priced. More importantly, in talking with him, I got a feel for the way he runs his business and approaches his job, and he certainly makes a strong case for being thorough and doing the job right. There is a reason he is so high up the rankings on Homestars despite being a smaller operation than some of the other pest control companies in the city. As we live in a "termite zone" within Toronto, I decided to get a termite inspection in advance of the sale of our home. Richard from Aetna was in an out within an hour and seemed to do a thorough job. He was extremely knowledgeable about his business and if, heaven forbid, I ever have a termite infestation, Aetna will be my first call.

I hired John as his reputation is well known in East York by buyers and agents as providing a thorough and responsible home inspection. And I got what I expected. His reports are objective, detailed and easy to read. He lists repairs needed, recommended and also assigns costs to them. When you read his report, you can rest assured you have the best possible idea of the shortcomings of the home you are buying or selling (within the limitations presented by being a non-invasive inspection).
