My name is Lisa Copland, I hired Pollard Windows and Door to replace my back French doors on May 2nd. I hope the fact that I have disclosed my name demonstrates how I would hate for anyone else to experience what I have with this company. If you wish to contact me feel free and I will share with you all the correspondence between me and this company with lots more pictures.
On May 23rd I placed an order for French back doors. Previous to my commitment to place my order, I had 2 representatives from Pollard measure my doors. Due to limitations I will not be able to give my entire story. So please feel free to email my directly of more details of my nightmare! Please see my pictures
In summary here are the facts:
1)I paid for custom made doors once the doors were delivered and installed after delays and frustrating conversations with Pollard, it was quickly uncovered that the measurements were significantly wrong. (See Pictures below for this obvious fact)
The doors sat in my driveway for several days (8 day)and after 2 good rain falls looked like second hand doors (I have pictures)
2)Pollard made several attempts to try to fix the problem only after many yelling sessions between myself and the representative. They tried to say it is not their responsibility for cosmetic work. This was not cosmetic work, all required work was a result of their incorrect measurements
3)From day one the representative (who has now denied saying this) kept saying "I as a nice lady and he was doing me a favor and he wanted to make it right." Neglecting the fact my doors looked horrible due to their incorrect measurements. The paint on my walls were destroyed by slopping removal of the previous trim, again due to their incorrect measurements
4)Eventually Pollard sent the same representative I was dealing with on the phone to fix the trim, I have included pictures below. Take a look and put yourself in my shoes, would you accept this. (BTW he is not a contractor but IMPORTANT TO NOTE, did work on his own house)
5) My issues are still not resolved, the Pollard rep wants me to reflect on the events and has now come up with a list of reasons never mentioned previously for the poor workmanship, (things never mentioned to me in all my emails, texts and discussions, again see pictures to draw you own convulsions) I made one request, I asked for the owners to call me to discuss my experience, no call as of August 27th, but the representative did want me to know I was an important customer to Pollard Windows and Doors.
