We first hired Captain Electric when our insurance company asked for an ESA certificate. Enrico came to our house and fixed all the various problems and we were given our certificate without any issue. It was such a smooth experience that we contacted the company again when we needed to have new pendants and a pot light put in. Both times, the service was very timely and professional. This review is long overdue! Sobol Inc. installed six windows for us in the fall of 2014. In the summer of 2015, they came back to install four basement windows. We have spent the last four years renovating our 100-year old house bit by bit and Archie has been by far the easiest contractor to work with. On both jobs, Archie gave us several options and made sure we were absolutely happy with our choice. For the basement windows, he accommodated the delay we were experiencing with the overall renovation by rescheduling twice. His crew is always professional and tidy. The installations are great and have made a big difference to the comfort of the house. The exterior finish is excellent, making the house look so much better.

This is the third job that Damian Lindsay has done for us and the largest one so far. It involved a complete gut of our cold and damp basement followed by waterproofing and the installation of a sump pump and backwater valve. The basement was then finished with a new bathroom, bedroom and family room. As always, the crew was professional and cleaned up at the end of the day. Damian is very good with communication so all the unforeseen problems and expenses that come along when renovating a 100-year old house were thoroughly discussed with us. Damian always provided a number of solutions and followed our decision. The quality of the workmanship is high and there is a lot of attention paid to the small details. Even nearing the end of the job, Damian took extra time to remove part of a door frame etc. so that we could get a full-sized washer and dryer down the narrow stairs! All the appropriate papers were provided for the city of Toronto's basement flooding protection subsidy programme and we received our payment from the city very quickly. The basement was finished in August and since then, we have enjoyed a very functional, dry and warm basement.

We needed to sound proof two bedrooms in our semi-detached house and at the same time have three small closets made into a larger one. Damian's offer was competitive with the advantage that he could start right away. The crew arrived at 8:00 am every day and cleaned the site at the end of each day. The work was completed on time and on budget. Damian paid a lot of attention to the small details and recycled materials such as baseboards and trim. Overall, we're very happy with the results - the sound proofing works and the bedrooms look good.
