This company currently has an F rating on the Better Business Bureau - is listed under a slightly different name (Vaniak instead of Vanaik). Buywer beware. We had to go to court and won our judgment. However, the store still would not pick up furniture and refund. Eventually had to hire our own delivery people and return the furniture. Went with police to finally get my money back. It was a 7 month ordeal. Paid for family room leather sofa set and dining room set in January. Part of the order was delivered in used and damaged condition. There were tears in the leather. As well dining table was delaminating and the leg looked like it was cracked in two and then joined back together with filler and glue. As for the sofa, it was never delivered (according to the store, there were always excuses like it was on the ship from China to Canada and was delayed). Vanaik made promises several times a week and never kept their word. We always has to call them. They would say things like "I promise you I have put the furniture on the delivery truck and it will be there tonight". And it never was. Or " the technician is on the way to your house to repair the damage and rips". And they never showed up. Ever. Deceptive, conniving "store managers" will look you in the eye and very convincingly tell you blatant misrepresentations. There are always a series of unhappy customers in the store and on the phone. Check with neighbouring businesses and they will tell you that there is always screaming and yelling coming from the Vanaik stores. Please, please dont put yourself through this nightmare. There are so many options. Don't deal with this company. If you do, be prepared to take lots of pictures and go to court. Vanaik will NEVER fix any issue you have.
