We purchased a 1400 square foot condominium in Toronto in March 2020 and chose Carick Home Improvements to do a complete renovation. The start of the renovation was delayed 3 months by our condo board because of the onset of the pandemic. Doing a renovation during the first year of the pandemic was challenging but Carick kept us informed & on track. They was very approachable/available throughout the process. They were very responsive to several unexpected issues and offered appropriate solutions in a timely manner. They recommended excellent vendors that they work with for the cabinetry, quartz supply and installation, flooring, etc. They also offered practical advice regarding cost-saving opportunities. The contractor had a flair for design and optimized the space within the condominium. The condo was reconfigured to accommodate a combined office/den with built in desk with quartz top and cabinetry as well as a pivoting glass transom to optimize lighting and ventilation. This area leads to a private entrance to the master bedroom suite which includes an intervening hallway/foyer with beautiful built in closets and drawers which provides separation between the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom. We had a small nook along one wall of the dining-room area which was converted to a 10 inch deep cabinet which included a space to place wine bottles. A recessed ceiling in the living-room was created with a peripheral 2 foot wide slightly lower border with multiple small recessed pot lights. This made the living- room appear more spacious & bright. A wall separating the kitchen from the dining/living room was removed to facilitate an open concept living area. We were required to retain a post which functioned as a conduit for Bell.  It was incorporated into the edge of the quartz waterfall of the island and   tiled to match the kitchen backsplash. It looks great! In summary, we were very pleased with the outcome of the renovation and would highly recommend Carick Home Improvements. A & A McC
