If you are considering spending thousands of dollars on a sony bravia lcd think again.Sony has cut costs and opted to used unpure crystals in thier screens and as a result they suffer severe mira defect (cloudy uneven backlighting). If you try to watch a dark scene in a movie it will look like there are clouds everywhere. I had a sony autherized tech come and asses my set and he deemed my tv to be defective. I was still within my 30 day return so I exchanged it for another one wich turned out to also be defective and deemed so again by the certified technition. This time sony sais that it's perfectly normal but they do offer a firmware update to auto dim the picture to darken the overall picture so you won't see the clouds soo much.So they are saying that they are giving a firmware update to a perfectly normal product? Sony refuses to fix the problem and is in direct violation with V.E.S.A. standards for LCD screens.

I'm not sure if I should be outraged or not. I went to furniture giants on kennedy rd on boxing day and purchased a 3 peice leather sofa recliner set. Beleive it or not they delivered right on the date they said they would and the furniture was in good condition. However it's not the same model as was on the floor of the store and when I went back to the store the next day the floor model was gone.Now I paid $1600 for the 3 peice set and I am happy with it for the price I know I didn't get ripped off at the same time I'm not stupid and I believe the floor model was of slightly higher quality and probably costs a few hundred dollars more. Of coarse the manager tells me that the item he shipped me was infact the same model number but it's the new design and that the factory no longer make the floor model. I believe that they deliberately mislead me to get me to buy their product but I also believe that for what I paid I got my moneys worth.
