TERRIBLE! We were assured many times while purchasing that unlike their competitors Ashley Furniture could deliver your furniture in 21 days. We were looking for a mid priced couch, nothing too fancy as this was for our TV room. We found a decent priced sectional there and were able to haggle down the price. I paid in full and items were to be delivered 3 weeks later. close to the delivery date I contacted them and was told everything was good to go. not even 24 hour prior to our furniture being delivered they advised that items were out of stock. They could not provide us with a actual delivery date, so we decided to cancel and get a refund. They said if we did that we would have to pay a 25% restocking fee! REALLY?? on items that are not in stock? made absolutely no sense but whatever we decided to just wait for delivery. We contacted them over 15 times to try and find out when items would be delivered. MOST reps we talked to have been rude, aloof, ignorant and make it very clear they do not give a crap about your order. FINALLY the delivery happens, I was home that day with my brother in law. I get a call from Ashley Customer service advising that the delivery staff is outside. So I go to my door greet the guy and all of a sudden he starts screaming at me. No exaggeration, he was literally yelling at me. He claimed he had been waiting 15 minutes and how I was wasting his time and so on. Unbelievable! I have been waiting close to 2 months and I didn't feel it necessary to raise my voice, insult and belittle someone. I basically told him to shut up and just do his job, immediately called customer service to advise of this persons behavior. She had just spoken with him and she said he was rude and condescending to her as well and she was going to put a complaint in to his supervisor. The only reason I allowed this person into my home was due to the fact we had already waited twice as long and my brother in law was present so I felt somewhat safe. He continued on for a bit and I just did my best to shrug him off, I asked if he thought how he was acting was appropriate, he stormed off slamming my front door. Which now does not close properly, they also left a chip in my door frame! So now i'm dealing with Ashley Furniture for that as well. Which i'm positive they will do nothing about. DO NOT SHOP at Edmonton South Common Ashley Furniture HomeStore, you will regret it!
