During the Summer of 2023, we moved into our new home in Okotoks. Since the house did not come with a garage, we canvassed the area (including Calgary) to find a builder who could build to our specifications. There was no shortage of builders whose quotes and credentials we entertained. We even sought the advice of some of the locals. In the end, we chose Gecko Projects Ltd. From the get-go, Derrick (company owner est. 2008) demonstrated exceptional professionalism, as well as a strong commitment to his trade, his workmanship and his Team. Derrick took the time to meet with us on several different occasions before we contracted his companys services. Derrick was responsive and offered feedback and advice in an expedient and friendly manner. The quality of his Teams work, materials used, and efficiency were all beyond reproach. During the electrical and building inspection, we received several unsolicited compliments on the quality of the work. Gecko Projects Ltd. may be one of several companies in the area, that build garages and can offer some additional services (e.g., decks, fencing, & home renos), but based on our experience they are the ONLY company to go with if you want quality work and seamless completion. 5+ star. We recently moved to the lovely town of Okotoks and on the recommendation of one of our other contractors, we hired Big Rock to build our concrete walkway and back patio. I provided Aaron with a plan of what I wanted and, based on his expertise, he made a number of recommendations on how to improve the plan based on what we wanted and given the grade of the lot. As his team worked, their professionalism, knowledge and abilities were clearly evident and their attention to detail and work efficiency far exceeded our expectations. They even redid a small portion of the walkway because it wasnt entirely up to their standards. We couldnt tell the difference until it was explained! Aaron and his wife, Karla, were a pleasure to deal with. Although the town continues to grow, their service and professionalism had a small town feel, and it was genuine and deeply appreciated.
