Cam in Bloor West/Junction

We had a fairly straightforward leak in our roof. I found this company on HomeStars, they had a strong score and positive reviews, so I called them. They sent someone over and he gave us an estimate that seemed fair. The guy told us what he saw and proceeded to fix it then and there, which impressed us. However, after the next big rain, we noticed the ceiling was leaking inside. So I called back. They sent a different roofer over, who said his colleague didn't do a very good job. So he spotted the issues and "fixed it." Fast forward a few months and many rains and we still had water coming in through that area. Two roofers, neither could fix it. This week I called another HomeStars-recommended roofer to take a look. He pointed out the problem from the street. When he got up on the roof he said the previous job wasn't done properly. He removed the shingles, went into the roof, sealed it and then replaced the shingles... which we thought had been done previously. This job cost us more than the original, but we have some faith in what he did, as opposed to TRR. I'm sure TRR has done good work for other homes, but I can't recommend them based on our experience. Twice they failed to fix our problem, which didn't seem that difficult in the first place.

We had a skunk problem at our house (dog got sprayed) and a hole under the front of our house. We called Home Free to check it out. Thankfully they didn’t find any critters but they did find plenty of proof they were living there. Dave and Jessie searches the area, filled the hole and installed a barrier to keep them out for good. Quick and easy, didn’t require much from us, which is ideal with social distancing in effect. Highly recommended if you have critters making your home their own. **Before and after photos below.

Tony did a job for us five years ago, on the roof and replacing the siding on the house. A small piece of metal blew off from the roof during a violent wind storm this past winter and he sent his team to fix it within the week. We were very grateful they could do that in the conditions. Highly recommended!!

I needed a small job done moving heavy furniture from my third floor. Most places quoted me at least $400 for the job, which was a ridiculous quote for a job that takes less than an hour. YFCV quoted me a reasonable rate and got the job done in 20 minutes. The guys were fast, friendly and careful. Highly recommended.
