I did not receive any information on how the water softener would be installed as I assumed it would be installed by connecting to the house pipes for drainage as other companies have discussed. It is not satisfactory to allow it to drain in a sump pump which then causes soil erosion on the major walkway going to the backyard. Nor is it a good solution to have it in the floor drain as it comes out with a lot of force and it would most likely flood the basement area. It wouldve been proper to attach it to the house pipes so it drsins properly. Now I have to call a plumber and spend additional money to have it done properly.

Good morning, on date of installation 2 options for draining the softener were discussed. One was the sump pump and the other was the floor drain. I chose these 2 options because it is required by the Ontario building code that an air gap be present at the drain outlet. I was told that the drain line running across the floor was not what was wanted so I put it into the sump pump.
