This was my third time hiring Greg from Lifestyle Renovations. Probably won't be the last as I still have a couple of projects in mind. The first time was just a small project: some bathroom/entry tiles installation at my first house a few years ago. Job was very well done. The second and third time were projects done at a new house that was purchased a year ago. The house had been fully renovated in 2019 by a different company (not my choice); however, there were still a couple of projects that needed to be completed. The work in the new house involved two projects: 1) turning a basement-bathroom (that was not finished) into a laundry room with new tile floor, walls, baseboards, paint, shelves, hot/cold water plumbing, dryer vent, countertop, and custom pedestal for the washer/dryer. 2) The other area (see "before" photo of small area with wainscoting panels), where the laundry/dryer were (on main floor), was turned into a mudroom/closet, with real walls, baseboards, bench, wainscoting panels to match the existing ones (with a frame around the wainscoting for decor, behind the bench), hooks, paint, shelves, closet door to match the existing doors, etc. This was a full-on project done from scratch. I have now ordered a custom cushion to place on the bench...the last touch. This is now such a convenient area to hang coats and hide the shoes! Photos show the before/after projects. The 2 projects were done at separate times, but all in 2020. Hiring Greg was easy. He is organized, knows what he's doing, and projects are well finished. If there was anything I didn't like, or wanted done differently, my concerns weren't ignored or minimized, but taken care of right away. Greg just wants to do the job and wants to do it well. No hidden costs like so many other trades. No ego issue (refreshing!). Greg's quotes are well-prepared and detailed. In fact, the mudroom's final cost came back less than what was originally quoted. When Greg and Colin were working on the projects, I could leave my house and run errands with zero worries (and they were always happy to see my dog every day!). When they were done, they would just lock up everything. I will continue to use Lifestyle for any major future projects without hesitation, and gladly refer Greg to anyone who needs a job well-done.

After reading all the reviews on Homestars, I hired Chris to install various light fixtures in my house. Chris is a very nice guy, polite, very thorough and has an eye for details - correcting a 1/4 inch light fixture height! - and did a great overall job. He suggested a couple of ideas for my outdoor lights, which I found very useful. I will definitely hire Chris again just as soon as I find the rest of the light fixtures I need to complete my home indoor décor.

This is my first year with Smith's Gardening. They take overall care of my lawn. So far so good. I have a very small patch of lawn in front of my house and was glad Travis was able to give me a good price for all their work. My lawn looks great after each visit and I am very fond of the pattern the cut leaves...I just wished my neighbours would take care of their own properties too, especially their weeds. It's ridiculous. Anyway, good services with Smith's Gardening. The crew, when I see them, are polite and prompt in their work. There have been a couple of miscommunication in the past, but Travis was keen on making things right promptly. He is actually easy to reach if I have a concern or question. I have referred him to my friends before and still am.

I found Todd right here in Home Stars. I was planning on having quite a bit of renovation done to my home, which included the kitchen, hardwood flooring, and tiling. The hardwood flooring was to be the biggest job and I wanted the perfect contractor for it. I did my homework and got 3 quotes just for the flooring. Todd was well-priced, and definitely in the range I was willing to spend; however, it was his personality and great customer service that won him the job. He is courteous, professional, and gave me a quote in less than 24 hours. I should mention that his customer service started as soon as he met with me. He took his time to get to know me and even enjoyed playing with my puppy. I think it is important to get to know a worker that is going to be coming and going at-will in your home. I did like his products and ended up choosing an engineered hardwood oak floor. Love the floor! It has passed all the tests with my pets! The variety in its color, the grain, and the overall style is so attractive! This floor is going to get better as it gets older and that is why I chose it. Except for the painting/patching of the walls and baseboard, the renovations are done. The more I look at my floor, the more I love it. Todd was so patient: I had a hard time making up my mind at first. He was kind enough to drop the samples off to my home, pick them up when he needed them, and drop them off again just so that I could compare them with color samples for my kitchen. How is that for customer service? He was also easy to reach. I would text him, and he would reply almost right away. If you want to hire a contractor and be able to forget about him until the starting date, Todd is that guy: I never had to worry about him not showing up or arguing with me about the job. If I had a question or concern, it was addressed right away. Todd is a stress-free contractor! He is also a craftsman: my floor had so much variety of tones that it took a skilled worker to puzzle it together. I wonder if his inspiration came from the kind of music he was listening to while working. He also cut and installed my baseboard, making sure to cut it nicely to match the discrepancy in levels where the wood met the tiles. He also had to deal with crooked walls (thanks to the house builder!) and stairwells that were not quite straight. Everything is now perfect, and everything was done and finished on time. When you hire Todd, you get the 5-star treatment and result. Without hesitation, I would hire him again.
