My son and his family, living in the USA, bought a fixer upper in East Toronto. My husband and I removed the broadloom on their first floor and found quarter cut oak floors that had been damaged by a poor refinishing job. After taking off broadloom, underlay, linoleum and 1940 newspapers stuck to the floor, we found painted tongue in groove pine on the second floor. Some of the people we had in to quote told us to cover the floors with laminate. Others said they would do it but were less than enthusiastic. Harold came in, gave us a competitive quote, and assured us that refinishing the floors was the best way to go. He showed great expertise on completing a very challenging project, was truly accommodating, and took great pride in his work. The results were fabulous. We never thought the floors would look so good! I would highly recommend Harold for any floor refinishing project. Thank you, Harold, for a job well done. Carol, Toronto, August 30, 2013
