I hired Countrywide in 2011 to move house contents from Toronto to Ottawa. Everything was good until the night before the move, when they wanted to reschedule since the 'truck wasn't there'. After that, it was rescheduled a couple of times, and appeared to be subcontracted at least once. I took a week off of work to unpack, and they ended up coming the night before I had to return to work. The 'movers' turned out to be 2 people - one did all the work and basically hauled everything himself with our help. The 2 of them ended up in a screaming match on the street. All in all, the price was OK and the move did get done with minimal breakage, but it was a really unprofessional job.

We have used Antoine over the last few years for several painting projects in our Toronto house. He does a really nice job, and the quality is excellent. He cleans up everything, and has always been on time and on budget.

I used Oriel in 2007 for a kitchen and main floor renovation, and in 2009 for a bathroom and front deck renovation. We have just hired them to complete our basement. Jacob is very easy to work with. He listens to what we need and proposes options. He meets time commitments, and is transparent with budget and costing. The crew does quality work for a reasonable price.

We have had Mud Monkeys do 2 waterproofing jobs for us - one on the outside, fixing up a botched job from another contractor, and one on the inside to install drainage in the basement. They are highly competent and professional, they stay on time and budget, and leave the work area clean. They go above and beyond in lots of ways, and are very responsive. Thank you Darby!
