All the caulking was applied to perfection. Very nice lady did the work. Nice to see a woman in the trades. I'd recommend and hire again. Fair pricing.

I've known Nuco for 7 years and this is the 2nd beautiful, high end luxury bathroom he has built for me. It was a complete gut and we utilized very expensive and high quality materials. My house is 'my home' and having every part of this renovation go well was very important. He is an expert, a professional and a genuinely good guy. His vast knowledge and workmanship is impeccable. That aside, I completely trust Nuco because he has integrity and is honest.... Big reasons why I would only consider Nuco for this job. In the home renovation business, you just can't find a contractor that offers the full package.

The railings were done very well. High quality work and service until the installation. The guys started painting the welded areas and rub marks, but did NOT put down anything to cover my brand new stone stairs. They flicked black paint all over the stairs. I had to ask them if they had ever done an installation before - it was unbelievable. Thank goodness I was there at the time. I had to get a bucket of water and soap and started scrubbing the stairs before the paint went into the porous stones. I said I was not going to pay until the stairs dried and I was satisfied there was no paint left on the stairs. Mariya got on the phone and become unbelievably dishonest. Homestars won't let me use the terrible "L" word. She said her guys didn't get any paint on the stairs. Meanwhile, both installers admitted they had got paint all over the place. When I asked them to tell her what they had done, she yelled at them not to answer. All of a sudden, they can't speak English. She also said it's not an industry standard to cover stairs when they are painting. She said if I didn't pay them, they would take away the railings that were already installed.... On what planet is it ok to flick and speckle a customer's stairs with BLACK paint? Even her installers were embarrassed by Mariya's behaviour and agreed it was not the way to talk to any customer.... Beware. The railings are great. Installations guys and Mariya get a 0 and she cost the company this rating.

Jesse is an owner operator and takes real pride in his work. Not many roofers, nor contractors could care less today. I have a complicated roof design - several peaks and valleys that are prone to ice damming, in addition to a flat roof component. Jesse made recommendations that made sense. I met with half a dozen roofers from homestars that didn't seem to know what they were talking about - although they all acted as if they did. Most send commissioned sales reps that just want to churn and burn 'em. Jesse was regularly at the job site and doing oversight with his crew. 2 of my neighbours also had this company do their roof and I heard and saw nothing but good things. While the company doesn't have 100's of reviews, don't let this discourage you. It may be better for you - smaller company with more hands on ownership and service quality. I've recommended to a friend after the work was completed. There's a lot more to a roofer than cleaning up the job site after the work is done - that's what most of the bigger homestar profiles/ ratings seem to be based on. Call Jesse after you meet with the other guys, not before, and see the difference.

I interviewed several contractors - most were identified from Homestars with 10 out of 10 ratings galore. It was hard to believe how many bad experiences I had throughout this stage of the process. Some would cancel several times before showing up, some made outrageous price quotes (double market value) within 5 minutes of showing up, others would advise they would provide me with a quote and then wouldn't follow-up. - I should have gone into the construction business! Gerhard and Nuco did the work and were outstanding. They were fair and genuinely interested in making me happy throughout the process. They're experienced, do a lot of bathrooms, and this shows in how they conduct themselves and the final product. We had some unforeseen issues after the walls were opened up. I'm convinced that if I had used a 'handy man' bathroom guy, there's a good chance he would have walked away (because it would have been too big for him). Another benefit of using a company with people who are skilled, capable and have integrity. My recommendation is meet with other contractors first and then these guys. The difference will be obvious and you'll appreciate them more. I fully recommend.

Michael answered my call promptly, arranged an appointment to complete a quote and showed up on time. Other caulking contractors on this site with perfect 10 ratings did not. He completed the job on the day agreed upon. The quality of the work is excellent and the quality of the caulking is premium. When interviewing contractors, make sure you review what type of caulking materlal they are using - this will make a big difference in durability over time. Michael is a hard working man with integrity and does a great job. You don't need to look further than Gold Seal Caulking.

I'm very leary hiring a new contractor that I've not worked with before. Too many bad stories out there. Alex said it would take 3 days, with 1 painter. I thought it would take longer, but he insisted that's all the time it would take. After day 1, the painter realized it would take longer. So they brought in another painter and finished on time, as originally promised. The painters worked in a very professional manner: respectful, polite, clean cut, diligent, and clearly concerned about doing a good job. -And making me happy. The painting was done pefectly. Nothing outside the lines, etc. A very good job. They use ICI paint. - Not sold at Home Depot... Looked around and learned it's high quality paint. Hardly any odour. Price: I've never paid someone to paint before, so I'm not an expert on pricing. I felt it was a little on the expensive side, but getting quality and no problems is worth extra. My expectations are perfection. And I'm not afraid to vocalize my concerns or fight my position. -So I don't hand out praise unless it's well earned. My neighbour just asked about them and I recommended their work.
