Robs Quality Construction lives up to its name! Hiring Rob & his team was hands down one of the best decisions Ive ever made. Thanks to RQC, my newly finished basement in my humble little semi-raised bungalow looks amazing and is now both PROPERLY functional and built to last! Top notch workmanship and excellent service from start to finish. All completed with integrity, honesty and genuine consideration for customer peace of mind. My home may be modest but the renovation was very involved. Beginning with the demolition of the previously finished basement (I use the quotations on previously finished" basement VERY loosely), extensive work on HVAC system, upgrading of the entire plumbing and electrical systems for both basement AND main floor, new electrical panel, improving the stairs, an insulated music room etc. Sussing out a contractor can be a daunting task and there are many so called experts out there who are all talk but have very little to show in terms of reputable work, substance, good manners overall integrity. I can say without a doubt, Rob & his team embody all of said top qualities and attributes at the highest level. I had done a lot of research about the build I was looking for as well as extensive (and borderline forensic) research on construction companies & contractors. I had a few come by the house for consultations. Some companies were not very responsive, some of them full of salesman talk but very little substance in terms of information. Some of them didnt even bother to come out as it wasnt even worth it to them since my home is a bungalow and not a teardown or mega home re-build. Most of the companies I reached out to sent a worker or consultant (some as much as two-three weeks after I reached out) and offered very little information or time during their visits. When I reached out to Rob, I heard directly from him the same day and he even offered to personally come see the site for a personal consultation. From the very first site visit, Rob was attentive, thoughtful and considerate of all of my questions (and I had MANY questions with a lot of follow-up emails to said questions) and he willingly gave me a lot of his time and insight; all before I even signed a contract. I knew as soon as I got talking to him during his consultation visit that Robs Quality Construction was going to be the right choice for me. RQC did not disappoint! Throughout the entire process, I enjoyed peace of mind and never felt a moment of doubt in Rob or his companys abilities. There were a couple of unforeseen surprises (as is often the case throughout a renovation) and everything was handled with first class professionalism. Any concerns or curiosities were addressed and dealt with promptly and considerately. In addition to Robs great work, he is an extremely thoughtful, patient and considerate person as are the people he enlists to oversee/work on the project. His project manager Kyle was absolutely outstanding! Whenever I had a question for Kyle (I had many), everything was articulated, outlined and explained with patience and great consideration. I even learned a lot from them about the finer details of construction (which they always took the time to explain to me in person). All that was promised and outlined from the get go was completed and on budget. All of Robs trades people were excellent. There were never any grey areas when dealing with Rob directly. He stands behind all of his work, materials, trades people and most importantly, his word. Furthermore, all workers and trades people were prompt, polite and VERY tidy! For the amount of invasive work that was done over such an extended period of time, I actually couldnt believe how clean and tidy everything was on a daily basis. All work was completed during the work week 8am-5pm. There were plenty of in person follow-ups/site visits from Kyle as well as visits from Rob to ensure that the construction was up to standards and that the project was on schedule. Those who know me know that I have high standards. For those looking to get an involved renovation done to their home, there are understandably high expectations. All of my expectations were met thanks to RQC and never once, did any of said expectations ever feel like a burden or on the verge of compromise. In fact, for the limitations of my humble home, Im amazed at how much more Ive been able to get out of the space! The new space feels modern, well built and because of the great work done by Rob & his team, Im even more thrilled that I decided to renovate instead of expand (and increase my square footage thereby upping my taxes). I will definitely be calling Robs Quality Construction when I (soon) plan to work on the next phase of my home (the main level)! Im a new home owner and by no means do I have the mega bucks for a monster home makeover. However, the quality of work I received from RQC exceeds the amount I paid for which feels like a rarity in this day and age. To anyone considering ANY type of renovation work on their home, I highly recommend Robs Quality Construction. Dont just take my word for it. I encourage you to read through other reviews.
