My initial dealing with Reg was really very positive. He came to my home to inspect the job and give a quote. He was pleasant to deal with in person as well as on the phone. Reg was on time for the install date/time and installed the new door quickly and efficiently. About a week later the door started making a loud bang when being opened. The noise didnt happen all the time and really didnt seam like it would be a big issue to repair. I took a video of door clearly showing a roller binding on the upper track, releasing followed by a loud bang. I emailed it to Reg July 11th. Up to this point I still feel my experience has been very good and then I get the reply. July 11th. I dont notice any problem. Its a new installation and a movable structure so you will hear sounds and clicks. Let it run and please dont be suspicious of sounds unless they become more pronounced. Your door wont move a bit if theres a bind or anything of that sort. Sometimes test the door manually by disconnecting it from the opener and opening and closing it.Monitor it randomly.On July 12th I reply that its the loud bang in the video, the track appears to be 3/4 out of square causing the roller to bind. Reg doesnt reply. July 13 I email can we set up a time to address this. Reg does not reply. Tuesday July 16 I call Reg and he says he will get back to me and look at it this week. No call from Reg. Friday July 19 I email and we set up a time July 23 3-6pm. On the 23 Reg shows up on time. I try to show him what the problem is but honestly he is not interested in listening to me and every time I try to show him he tries to talk over me. After a few minutes of this I finally loose my patience and tell Reg to leave and that I would fix the door myself. That actually got his attention and he decided to listen and unscrewed the upper track and moved it over appropriately one inch making the track square. Now the door opens and closes as it should. Im so sad that I have to leave a bad review as I believe the install was done very well and Reg seams like a truly nice person. Trades people make mistakes and I understand that but its how you choose to deal with your mistakes and how you treat your customers that make you a great company.
