Let me down and left me with no heat
A-1 lost a long term customer. After having had five months over the summer, and access to my home anytime that was needed to fix a thermostat to on-demand heat unit relay issue, the writer returned in early October to find the situation worst off. The problem had not been fixed and there was no heat! Checking in from time to time over the summer I was assured that the technician was working on the problem and coming up with a solution. The problem, as it turns out, must have been beyond the scope of the technician`s capabilities, but why he didn`t say so is beyond comprehension. Yes, I am out more than a few bucks, but sometimes the customer takes it in the shorts and this was one of those instances. That`s the bad news and I have moved on. Now to the good news. In trying to get someone in to address the problem, I found a company that sounded like they had more experience with Navien on-demand heating systems. Following my briefing of what I believed to be a relay problem, and undoing what had been tried over the summer, the new technician had my system working in less than 90 minutes. Impressive! I was so pleased that I had the new Plumbing and Heating service company back a few days later to do a half day of plumbing upgrading and maintenance. Again, impressive. A happy ending.
